use this as one link? so it will help rank for those 2 keywords.
the problem is i've seen sites rank in differently on google SE when we type in singular and plural. So if we are abt to optimise a site for keywords like that which method should we follow?

@moemark can you please explain a bit. I didnt get wht you said.
      thanx.

yup, hence putting in both phrases one with plural, one without.

put the one you want most at the front. or mix them around.

and most of all, it looks natural

Search engines would do some tranformation between plural and singular.

I would use both keywords, but primarily online books, because google will see both keywords and just ignore the s

I always use the plural versions of keywords... this way you rank for both singular and plural. (tested with very low competitive keywords)

but as I've noticed.... singular has more conversions than plural

LMFAO... where did you get this advice from? Who ever it was, stop listening to them. Of course it matters and as far as density goes, it's a myth that's been busted too many times over.

Yes, it could also rank well in the SERP. You can use both keywords then optimize them.

here's what i got from wikipedia:

The anchor text, link label or link title is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink. The words contained in the anchor text can determine the ranking that the page will receive by search engines.

      This is your anchor text

      Code:
      <a href="www.somesite.com">YOUR ANCHOR TEXT KEYWORD PHRASE HERE</a>
"Your anchor text keyword phrase here" is what you would replace your phrsaes with that you want to rank for. If we just used what I typed in quotation marks in this example and spread heaps of links with that phrase, then we'd rank most probably No.1 for it.

How is the keyword picked up? by encasing them in the a href code I showed ya above... There's other things as well other than anchor text, prominence and proximity placement; ie, how far is a keyword situated next to another, or a hyper link (anchor text) link that is also related to the destination page, this is onpage optimization which can also be applied to offpage (3rd party website)
