Google, Bing, Yandex and....?

Is there a full list of search engines anywhere that we should be submitting our site maps too?

My main site is regionally focused on the West Coast so I'm not really sure Yandex does me any good. I looked into some of the Chinese sites but I'm not able to read most of them.

I feel like there has to be more search engines out there. Is there?

Google, Bing, and Yahoo. That is all you need.

Yandex is Russian. Baidu is Chinese, and citizens of China are blocked by a national firewall anyhow.

Every other search engine out there is insignificant.

Really, you do not even need to submit your website to them, but you can if you want. They'll find your site on their own.

Russian people are fine to visit your website so I would be happy if the Russian search engine was crawling your website as some Russians know English and if a Russian searches an English word they obviously know English and then finding the website to view and share is good because it is an increase of traffic. Chinese traffic I don't mind either some of my websites show Chinese traffic so apparently they are not all blocked. Anyway Bing.com is a good search engine that heavily favors links while Google is more well as well all know strict on how you put out links. I know a website that had 1,000,000 links and ranked # 1 for a gaming console. But it was banned in Google.

Any traffic is good traffic I believe because it will bring your business to new people. So think about that before writing off the Chinese or Russians.

I'm not writing them off, it's just my content is highly region dependent, and we don't get a lot of Chinese or Russian Tourists.

That and my Russian is poor, and my Chinese non-existent.

Yes well not to worry you are not catering to the people who are of those languages. You are catering to people who know the language you are working with. I would say the search engines that are going to find you first are Google and then slowly yet surely Bing and Yahoo all other search engines will find you to that is their job. So if you don't want them to crawl you put them in the Robot.txt if you don't mind extra free traffic from people that may not help your business every time then don't.

All traffic is good traffic, Tekn1qu3z is right.
Google and Bing are probably the most important search engines of all, then comes yahoo, but don't underestimate any other sources.
