Ok people..please explain this to me if possible.
Just started a new campaign today.

For one of the keywords in an adgroup the last couple hours ive had 9 clicks, 121 impressions, 7.44% ctr and it says the avg. position is 1.5.

Yet i dont see my ad when searching and next to the keyword under ad showing- it says no. Your ad shares a similiar display url with a competing, higher ranking ad.
Why in the world am i getting clicks if the ad isnt even showing. Im stressing out here.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks

might be IP related, google has changed the way they rank sites now, it's not just based on keyword phrases, it's based on your GEO IP Location and the popularity of that phrase, similar effects may appear in adwords too, your ad may not show up in your ip area, but will in someone elses.. hard to say since you haven't given much information on how you set up your campaign.

    Yes true!

Google serves results based on location. The best way to check this would be to use a hideproxy.info or other "anonymous proxy" websites to surf Google. The check for you rankings. I do this all the time when my GEO target is different. I get the results!

Also, there must be a competitor who is sharing your URL. You ad must be showing on different intervals of the day than his/her. So you must be getting hits when his ad would be not shown.

Also there are chances that your ad may be sharing data within your ad groups. Thats the least case. Look for your ad through hidden proxy sites and checkout the website.

"Your ad shares a similiar display url with a competing, higher ranking ad." means that someone else has also an ad with this url running. I guess the other ad had a better combination of quality-score / bid price.

This can happen all the time, especially with affiliate links.
