Geo-targeted SEO tips?

Hello, so I am currently trying to SEO a website, which has a high competition in terms of worldwide search but a low competition and considerable searches per month in my country.

What are the best way to increase my rank to google especially to the people who are searching from my country? Does youtube videos also provide some sort of SEO to the website if it's mentioned in the description of the video?

    What do you mean by a website has high competition? You mean the keywords? Google rankings vary from country to country. If your keywords has low competition in a particular country then they might rank higher in that country. However there are many other factors

      high competition via Google Keyword Tool.

      Anyway, on worldwide the keyword has lots of other websites other than the official website (it's a product), but when I add my country with the keyword it only shows the official website, youtube video and facebook pages in the 1st page so I'm guessing my other competitors are not SEO-Optimized

    Optimise your website for the version of the keyword containing your country and build backlinks to it. Also, try to get backlinks from sites using your country's ccTLD if possible.

    Best way to get rank in local country is take a Country Level Domain for your website first. Also do some local branding, like submit your website to your country based directory. That will be best if you get backlink from same country level domain which you have.

    Videos can also increase your rankings once publish in your website because it lowers the bounce rate of the page where your video was published. Another you need to do is submit your site in your local directories.

    Social Media is also a huge factor gain traffic. Try this out too.

    I think you should submit your website to a local directory sites and make sure to put your map location to instill your country. In terms of SEO in youtube, it is also helpful because youtube is a rank mining site.

    If your website is a local website (targeting a specific geographical area like a city or country), you don't have to worry about your keywords' global competition.
    Yes, you will get some benefit from youtube if you put your links in video descriptions. I am not talking about "link benefits". You'll get traffic from your links, that's it.

    Don't use youtube for "link building".

    Local SEO is best done when you focus on websites located in your targeted geo-location. Focus on local websites in your market.
