You may call the Google Penguin 2.1 the "THE PERFECT STORM"!
Forget Page rank and start working on page authority and domain authority.
Leaving good comments on site along with the URL'S could definitely help you to get out of the stress.
And don't forget to keep your site up by using reliable web hosting services .
Also don't under-estimate content. Remember Bill Gate once said-"content is king".
You'll not going to get enough back links if your writing sucks! So try to write good quality content and take help form social media to spread your content.

Try to right rich content, this will help Google SERP. Don't use techniques like

    1. Over Optimization
    2. Doorway pages
    3. Hidden Links
    4. Guest Posting
    5. Keyword Stuffing
    6. contextual Text
    7. Paid Links

If you are doing any Off page optimization, BEWARE of the spammed websites.

If you having any spammed backlinks in your website. try to remove those backlinks, contact those administrators and remove those backlinks from your website.

If they are asking any money related things, then use the Tool of "Disavow". It'll use for Google Bot don't index those links.

use the canonical to the domain like rel="canonical" href ="www..example.com"
if you are not using canonical and pagination links, May be your traffic will fall down.

try to link up G+, twitter and Facebook.

    Hope you understand

From looking at your website, your index in google, and your ahrefs profile, its quite possible that you are facing a over-optimization penalty. I hope I wrong. I can tell a bunch of your content is spun and there are clear signs of hardcore on-page and off-page SEO. Its quite obvious. Sorry to deliver bad news brother.

The new strategy for 2015 is to create epic content and share it like crazy. This should've been the strategy for 2014 also.

    • I represent a group of writers that contribute copy to each other as well as providing good copy for their own blogs. A writers guild of sorts we are developing at MarketHive.

I have always stressed that we, as marketers, writers, etc. use our real names and brand ourselves accordingly to our expertise. I have found Disqus is an excellent searchable commenting system for this. I believe it also aids in establishing credentials with our good friend Google.

It does a great job of knitting all of your comments into one searchable link.

So as the many members in our "Guild" we share our posts with each other and comment accordingly as we post. We also have built a system where by we can mix our content into what is called a cocktail RSS which is pretty amazing. So far we are getting good results.

We basically focus on establishing authority and write like we talk, creating original copy fit for human consumption, not for robots.

      Does anyone else see this?

It is clear that Google is moving consistently in a direction to remove attempts to "game" their system and use various shortcuts to gain search engine position. It amazes me that there are so many marketers that really think that they are smarter than the Google engineers. Various type of link building systems like VPN's (Virtual Private Networks) are still promoted by some SEO's as effective rank building schemes. Some of them may fool Google in the short term, but this is no way to build a long-term business on the Internet.

Eventually is is highly likely that Google will discover your "scheme" and devalue your sites, or even ban them entirely. It simply is not worth the risk. It is a far, far better use of time and resources to use various Social Networks, and Social Media for the purpose of spreading your message on the Internet. I like the idea of like-minded authors or entrepreneurs supporting each other in a group. This kind of engagement would very likely be something that Google would value and support in search engine results.

There can be nothing wrong with sharing good content with fellow networkers after all that is happening everyday in social media and in fact MarketHive is also a developing social site with active groups discussing all manner of business from marketing, MLM, religion and leisure.

Many people struggle with blog content and often employ writers to ensure fresh meaningful content appears within their blog Markethive provides a measure or automation for this and members have an option to allow fellow members to write on their own blogs, which can save both time and money.

I do not think there is any "scheme" for Google to discover it is straight forward, honest and the original author receives the credit for the content they created.

I found this thread after doing some research into how I can get more visitors to my websites. My websites are what you might call "hobby sites" based on my interest in classic motorcycles. The sites were designed with a WYSIWYG program that has a SEO tool built in. I have written all the articles on the sites myself. It would be interesting to develop the sites by making them more interactive then I could maybe monetise them effectively. I am an ebay affiliate but I do not earn a great deal from that at present.
I am not very technical when it comes to web design / SEO (hence using WYSIWYG) and because my sites are not interactive (other than comments forms on the sites) the content is fairly static.
I cannot afford to pay for programmers so if I decide to update my sites to something more interactive (Wordpress has been suggested), I will need to learn it myself.
I don't really class myself as an internet marketer in the true sense but I guess we are all marketers in a way when we tell our stories. I would be interested to find out if, or how, using MarketHive could help me become part of a "writers' guild" relevant to motorcycles and if / how I could put content by other authors on my website.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about IBOtoolbox. On the one hand, I see the limitations of what seems to be a "wannabe" Internet Marketing Group, where the kinds of activity going on are not particularly Search Engine "Friendly". On the other, I think it could be a decent lead generation method.

I certainly would not try to generate traffic for any "paid" offer over there. Everyone is so conditioned to the word "free", if you were to check people for tattoos, I think you would see that some of their members have it permanently engraved on their forearm.

If I compare it to another group of entrepreneurs, to which I belong MarketHive, there really is no comparison whatsoever. Over there, I found serious marketers, and writers that create valuable content on a regular basis to help others. I have found groups of like-minded people there, and a suite of tools that I find very helpful.

If my marketing skills were a knife, and I used it continuously in IBOtoolbox, I think it would become dull and rusty fairly quickly. I am sure that if I continue to use the same knife in MarketHive it will likely become sharp as a razor.

We completely abandon any tricky SEO stuff years ago.

We grow steadily whenever we create content. We have gotten so busy filling orders these days, we haven't been able build much content for the last couple of years but growth has still been pretty steady.

I do believe content is king, but on top of good, original, interesting content, you need to be very relevant, with a SEO friendly website. Oh and marketing, never forget marketing, you have to get the word out there somehow, otherwise the reference ball will never get rolling. Adwords works well, but also think about real world ideas like flyers and stickers on cars etc...We have even sold a few things to people here on Warrior Forums simply because of the signature links below.

After update penguin 2.1 need to create custom strategy for each project then need to implement on the website. Forget creating unnatural, bad and categorized links need to create only high quality, relevant and natural back links for the website and main focus on content.

First off, what do you classify as good links? If you mean blog comments, then you created the opposite type of links (bad links). Since it's a penguin penalty, get the bad links in your link profile removed/disavowed and hope you recover. Use ahrefs for link analysis.

The secret to ranking after penguin 2.1 is developing up to date SEO skills like effective link building, and being aware of what you can do to create a profitable campaign without a penalty or devaluation happening. By the way, building links is working WELL for some people. I'm tempted to pretend it's not though to help trick others into believing that content somehow equals rankings, but I won't.
