Using Tag is good for SEO? [wordpress]

I don't use tag on my wordpress site. It creates an inode everytime I create a Tag. That's why I avoid creating new tags. Does it hurts SEO?

  As tags are stored in a database, they wouldn't use up any inodes.

I score for my tags so much search engines traffic that i don't understand why don't you use them. There are so many keywords in any website suggestion list that you can use as targeted keywords.

The only thing that you should always keep in mind is not to abuse them. And also it's a good idea that tags are different from categories.

I use a auto tagging from title. It extract relevant words from title and makes them keywords. So, i only have to worry about the title to be SEO friendly, tags will just follow up.

It depend on your theme. Some theme will show tags as category style pages and this way it shows more pages in your website. Surely tags pages can be ranks on Google. If you search something related to wordpresd like a plugins most of the time you get tags pages on google. I personally like to use category. I believe tags and category are similar and i just do not want to show same content on category and tags pages.
