How to bring keywords to top of Google.co.uk?

Hi friends,
For the past 2 months I am doing SEO for http://sme-accountantssouthend.co.uk/ the keyword "accountants southend", but it is ranked in second page. I have tried all the possible way, but for the particular keyword the site is not coming to first page in google.co.uk..If anyone of you can help me out from getting rid from this situation? I need your valuable suggestions...

    One thing that might help would be "Social networks". If you haven't already got then get a facebook page and twitter accounts open that link back to your website and use it to engage people and get interest then that may also help with getting more traffic and business. Social backlinks can boost SERP's if done correctly. you could also do Video blogging using YouTube, host the video on YT and have your website show the videos.

    If I were you I would focus on local SEO first. If you list the business on Google places people who is looking for accountant in Southend-on-Sea area will see it. Maybe not as #1 but they will see it on first page.

      Yes. Good one, but just to add that you should buy only GOOD and possibly RELATED to your niche backlinks!

    Your site is being affected by the ranking delay Google introduced into the algorithm to prevent blackhat SEOs from ranking high quickly. Give it a few months and you will find your site where you want it - first page.

    It all depends on the choice of keywords and building links mostly from ".co.uk" domains. This can help in better ranking of the webiste and the keywords.

    Just keep doing what you are doing now. It really takes time to do SEO so you have to be patient and do a lot of effort to rank. Building social pages and local SEO by building backlinks from specific "co.uk" niche sites will be a big help.

    I really doubt anything will help until you give us a bit more info about your SEO strategy...
    It`s like coming to store and saying: "my PC is not working, I pressed turn on button, and nothing happened... tell me what can that be?"
