    There are other off page activities as well :-
    PPT submission
    PDF submission
    Infographic submission
    Guest Posting

    But don't take these activities casually, I mean you should first find most relevant and quality source from where you can get links. As one link from highly authority site can pass valuable link juice to your site than hundred of irrelevant links.

    Basically its the promotion that brings the essence. Like you had listed certain tactics to go with after off page the same needs to be continued. SEO is an all time process. If you stop it, you might lose ranking after couple of days. So keep up the work in a continual manner. One of the other stuff that you missed out is the social promotion. Today as per the search engine, social signals are much more preferred. And hence I would recommend not to skip that.

    Explanation first: have in mind that google likes diversity very much... but they are not idiots, go slowly with everything...

    PDF submissions and web 2.0 properties on all major platforms, social media definetly... that should be pretty much it... all other (like guest blogging, social bookmarks, article directories) brings close to 0 linkjuice because it has been used all the time in the past...

    But to make things complicated... google tends to go back and revive things that worked in past with each new update (:

    After the off-page optimization I would post lots and lots of quality content on my website daily. Also, getting backlinks from high quality relevant websites would help your websites rankings. Back then even the most spammy links used to get you good rankings. But these days only quality links and quality content would get you good SERP ranks.
