If you're "building" links, it's not whitehat SEO. Whitehat is a distinction that means you are purely attracting links naturally.

As far as building links goes, any amount that you can do manually isn't going to get you penalized, but the quality and anchor text distribution could over time.

Backlinks are only "bad" if they get your blog penalized, otherwise they will have a zero or positive effect on your rankings. But the links you're building are likely to be those with essentially zero effect. I strongly suggest learning either how to gain links "naturally", or go the other direction and learn how to build links through private blog networks.

If these are actual, genuine white-hat links (Although from the way you have phrased your question, I doubt they are, but lets ignore that for now) then there is no limit to how many you should gain. When I started my Amazon Affiliate side project, I actually created two sites for the same niche. The same niche and keywords, but different content and hosting. I then ran two completely different SEO campaigns for each site. With one I purchased a number of cheap services off this website, which over the 4 months gave me a backlink count in the thousands. For the other, the only links that were built were from proper guest posting, with real quality content traded in return for a link back with the website. I only managed about 10-12 of these links in those 4 months, but that site is the one I ended up sticking with as it was beating the site with the thousands of low quality links by a page or more for each keyword in the SERPS.

Quality, not quantity.

Big sites can get bunches of links every day because they get the numbers of visitors and produce the kinds of content that make it possible. Small sites in niche markets--especially new ones---almost always get far fewer. If nothing else, Google is a link expert. By "expert", I mean expert, expert, expert. It's a billion dollar company built on understanding links. And I say that because unless and until you can say the same about yourself, you're messing with fire if you're thinking about playing the "add links by the day" game. Even if its by the week or by the month game, you're going to get burned.
Before going down that route, I recommend spending a few weeks/months learning about what's a good link and how to get them rather trying to figure out how many you can get. It will work out a lot better for you.

I suggest you to go for quality backlink. Yes you can create 7 links on each of your blog post. When yo are going to use bacnlink on your post, you must need to concern about keyowrd density. You can also create backlink on high quality websites and gov sites.

I've seen a case study where someone blasted 100,000 links at once to his site, and he got some of his serps improved.

The idea of being sandboxed is not as simple and straightforward as people like to think .

7 backlinks a day is fairly low so you should definitely not be intimidated by that.

I think there's no answer to this... but you can lower the chance for getting deindexed by keeping it steady and slow. This means not make 100 backlinks one day and 0 for the next few days. Google understands natural linkbuilding very well. Pay attention to anchor text!

I'm still waiting for someone to provide a proven definition of "natural linkbuilding".

Fact is, every day there are pages which suddenly get 100 - even thousands of backlinks one day - then it dies off. It is completely "natural" based on the content, viral issues, who decides to link, etc..

I'd say seeing 7 links being added day after day is anything but "natural".

Google knows about something going viral by what I said... It looks if your content has 100 backlinks one day and other day only 1... If content goes viral then your linkbuilding is still steady, and it doesn't stop. Some days you'll get more links other less, but it won't stop...

I don't think so. It will hurt when you over optimized the anchor text. Be creative when to do link. You might consider to do various way such as using video sharing website, social media , infographics, forum and so on. It have to look natural not only for Google but for the reader also.

If your going to build back links to your website, try to make it look el-natural as much as possible, heck if you post great stuff and share it on social media , other people will like it and re share it on blogs, forums, social media etc. let them build natural back links to your website.

There's really no fixed answer to this...link building should be done in the most natural way possible. For me, in a month, I would have atleast 3 do follow backlinks and 2 no follow backlinks, but these are acquired via content marketing and not purely or naked links.

I believe the key is to create content that is share-able and those that will answer the most common questions in your industry, it can be in the form of article, infographic or even information videos.

If you have a New website , then don't too much backlinks , its not look natural that one day you are nothing , after 10 days you get thousands of links , . One day nothing , next , you become a King , :-)

Start with few first week , Keep adding Links each week , If you have a Old , then no restrictions, but i hate Building Links , We should produce Content that can Earn Links .

I don't think the quantity matters, as long as the backlinks are qualitative. And 7 links is not a huge number, it would probably look suspicious if you were building, say, 70

Real White Hat SEO involves no link building, (read the google TOS).

However you can do "grey hat" and just build social bookmarks to your pages.

Other than that, looking for broken links in your niche, and contact the webmasters via contact form and point out the broken link, they will thank you. If you ask them to link to your awesome article that has a great video on it, they will link to you instead.

Nothing works better than PRweb press release to get people blogging about you, but you need to have content on your website that is highly valuable, unique, and well researched. Creating a "top 10" list, or a page that has a list, such as the social bookmarking sites list that I have in my footer. I get natural links like crazy with that page.

Then you create links from you highly linked pages to other pages in your website.

It's depends on your website weight. If your website is niche then do it lower and slowly. If you have a big thinking with big niche then move to high and fast proccess.

But you must be do that with regular basis. Also make them as much as natural and build authority and relevant backlinks.

You can create 7 or you can create 70, it depends on you. But quality will matter, will you create 70 low quality will not be counted where as if you made 3 or 4 or 7good quality back links, that will be appreciated.

  There is no such thing as 'White hat link building'
  If you are deliberately building links to try and increase your site's presence in Google, i.e. trying to game the SERP's, then there is nothing whitehat about it, full stop.
  
  But I know what you mean by whitehat, good quality IBL's, no spammy crap.
  
  Of course we all do it, because it works, but good manual links take time to build, so it is most unlikely you would be able to build "too many" in a day, therefore you will realize that Mike's answer above was correct.

If you are doing "white hat" link building, I really doubt you can make too many backlinks per day so don't worry.

Just take care of anchor text, you might get penalized if your backlink profile looks "spammy". Don't suggest webmasters to link you with certain keywords and you won't have any issues.

Whitehat generally means you don't build links but attract links via content or donations or sponsorship or guests posts. That being said you can build as many whitehat links as you physically can and you still wouldn't get penalized by Google (if you're worried about link velocity based penalties that is)

It`s true there are no white /gray or black hat seo, it`s all the same in eyes of Google if you do anything around your backlinks they don`t like this (:

But if you asking about quite safe way of doing it don`t build more than 10 backlinks per website/day, I don`t know how many post you already have but if you have lets say 50 posts x 10 backlinks/day = 500 backlinks/day for a website its a lot too much, google will penalize you quite fast.

Quality links are more important, even if it is one link per day ... But never create 100 backlinks one day and the next day with 0. Google will surely penalize you. Just create 10-12 backlinks per day, stick to it and then increase gradually.

You can't build 10 number of links on Good website even because a good quality links need time good content and strong effort and don't make links on the same page or just post one blog on your website and give a links to your own page many times that will not help your website for better ranking , it's not white - level - seo .
