As you are new at blogging, your blog will be new too. Try submitting sitemap using GWT account and also ping some of your urls to make the process little faster. Wait for a while and check your webmaster account to find how many pages has been indexed (from sitemaps section)

U CAN EASILY rank in a few simple steps..

Step 1.. Go to Google's Keyword planner.
Step 2.. Type in your main market keyword.
Step 3.. Select the amount of searched each month from low to high.
Step 4.. To start, take a keyword that is low volume (around 50 a month or so)
Step 5.. Looking in Google how much pages are indexed with your keyword.
You can do this to type in the keyword you are going to rank for.
For example: You are in the Weightloss business. And the Article your about to post is about "lose weight very fast easy"

So to look at google for your competition with a exact match you type in exactly like this:

"lose weight very fast easy" Include the " ".

Step 6.. Go for a keyword which are less than 2000 pages indexed.
Step 7.. Write your article with at least 300 words. Put your keyword in the Header. And 3 or 4 times in the body of your content. Place at least 5 Relevant keywords in your content (what speaks for itself with a normal post)
Step 8.. Ad a picture to the article and put your keyword in the alt text and in the description.
Step 9.. If you are using Wordpress you can download the SEO BY YOAST plugin which is really an awesome plugin.
Step 10.. Make sure your URL is set as the name of your Post. Like This:
www. yourdomain. com / loseweightveryfasteasy
WITHOUT THE ---- sign between the words.
Step 11.. Make sure your post and website are available for google to index. At wordpress this is setup by default.
Step 12.. Go and Type in your keyword into google and go looking for a blog woth relevant content. Type in Exactly like this:

"Blog"+"lose weight very fast easy"
"blog"+"lose weight very fast easy"+"leave a comment"

Find some relevant blog posts and leave a comment relevant comment NOT SPAMMING! Try to give people some VALUE! Than they don't mind if you are leaving a link to your website. When you see under the Comment box that HTML is ALLOWED.. You can add your link with a simple HTML code:

<a href=” http://www. domain. com ”> Clickable text </a>

Step 13.. Congratulations! u just build your first Backlink. Repeat after that the same process again and again. When u see your first Number one position in Google.

With a New Blog be patience & Keep working on your blog.
Most important thing is Write Quality & Original Content, Don't copy paste content from other sites.
Write engaging posts & share it on popular social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Linkedin etc.
If you have decent no of friends/followers on these some people will share for sure if your work is useful. This way you will at least get some social signals which are important these days for SEO.

Submit your sitemap to google, bing webmaster tools.
You can also start building some backlinks for your blog by posting some meaningful comments on other blogs ( Using your URL in URL Section of blog Comments ) , You can also build some web 2.0 properties linking your blog, this will also pass some link juice.

This way your blog will start ranking slowly with time & as you keep posting good content,people will start liking your content & will link it on their blogs.

This is how you can rank on google.

I don't feel there is harm in blog commenting, There is harm in spamming but posting your view on a blog with your Blog URL won't harm for sure.

The method suggested above is surely looks spammy.

Along with On-Page SEO, I use social media especially Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus to make the post viral and to get regular traffic. The more traffic you get the more weight Google gives your blog.

Do not only share the post links, instead use similar keywords and write one or two paragraph and then share the link to read more.

Agreed, Social Media is one of the best ways and quickest ways to get a steady stream of visitors to your site.

Backlinking,social bookmarking, and indexing services will help you get indexed faster but it is vague what you mean in terms of "ranked".

You can be indexed for a particular keyword but not necessarily ranked that high.

If you want to rank for a keyword, it is relative to how competitive it is, so more information about your problem is needed.

The best thing you can give google is (Consistancy) keep adding new content, fresh original content, start some slow to intermediate backlinking, submitt site maps to google and bing, share some content or links on twitter and facebook and some other social media sites


Generaly your just creating a buzz for the site at this point, and if you keep adding content, keep building backlinks, sharing, you will rank.

Ranking these days is a patience game, we all have to do it, just because i have been building websites for years does not mean i will rank a new one page 1 tomarrow, i have to work at eat just like everyone else
