Tips for traffic for fresh website

Updating the website regularly is important. So, this is one thing to keep in mind. Writing one article today and another one after 1 month will not help at all!
At the same time, articles must be unique, they must offer good, quality information, written for the readers, and not for search engines. Content written for search engines won't help at all..

As previously mentioned, lots of good unique content will be the way to start. Build some backlinks and that will help, plus possibly drive some referral traffic. Join forums that are related to the niche and post with a link in your signature. Consider buying some banner advertisements from places like BuySellAds. Promote via Social Media as you mentioned. Create some videos and throw them up on YouTube.

There are tons of methods you can do for quick traffic!

There are so many topics out there regarding SEO for new web sites.

I would say start with the basics and devide your topics into two categories such as on page and of page SEO. If I were you I would start your blog with on page SEO topics becuase that is where any one should start with there SEO.

On page SEO topics can be things like hosting, CMS like wordpress or web site builder like weebly and then meta data and content.

if you are planning to write a blog providing guides on how to do SEO, yet here asking for basic seo tips yourself, then perhaps you should consider a different niche. Otherwise you will end up with a blog of mostly re-written content half stolen from other sites.

Yeah, that's true. Get ready for some serious competition!
So, I would add, focus on writing unique content, and try to bring something new to the table. This niche is really an endless pit of ideas, you could easily write something every day, but you'd have to find a way to stand out from the crowd.

If this is your content strategy your site will suck. Sorry but you're better off starting a website about a topic that you're actually competent in. Otherwise do your own tests and report it there or interview people who know what they're talking about.

First of all, you need to make sure you already ping, add sitemap to google webmaster tools, add google analytics and do a good SEO on page. Then do these steps

- Build some first backlinks numbers: bookmarks links, website backlinks .... you can do it via fiverr
- Daily new post in at least 2 weeks then you can keep 2 day 1 post or 4 days 1 post
- Social share and post: facebook, twitter, G+ ...

Keep it like that for 2 months then you will have at least 200 visits/day
