  The money I spend depends on the project I'm doing, However, I very rarely spend money but I spend lots of efforts on the task. You see, you spend money on these backlinks and directories but sometimes you still aren't the top position.

  Everytime I pull up a new site, I backlink/RSS/Social Bookmark my site for about an hour per day to make sure everything is done right at the startup. After about 1.5 weeks i start outsourcing it for cheap as link building is really very annoying and I then have time to completely focus on something new.
  
  As for money, I pay about 20 bucks per month for great backlinks, this is why i love the Warrior Forum so much...^^

Hard to say...

Some projects we spend zero on SEO and do it in house and some we outsource parts and end up spending 1000K plus a month.
