How to get my site searchable on search engines

I am having a very difficult time getting my website searchable on engines Like Google. Can anyone tell me, in the simplest terms possible, how to best do this without spending any money?

    Your site is definitely indexed in Google. I believe you're talking about placing higher in the search engines, right?

      How can I tell it is indexed? I just began working on it 5 days ago; google analytics seems to be telling me it isn't there. I am new to all this; maybe I am missing something.

      It would be nice to be placed higher, but first, I need to know for sure engines like google and Bing can find it.

      In any case, how were you able to tell google found it?

    I just checked the site in Google and showing two results "Think Dogs" .
    If you want to rank higher in Search engines get targeted long tail keywords and do SEO to boost traffic.
    Use webmaster tools to find more things about site functioning.

    Hey thinkdoggy , you can only rank without invest money with long tail keywords for get higher ranking and better traffic either you need to learn a ton or you should hire a seo professional who can get you into 1st page .

    If you don't want to spend any money, you are not prepared to receive traffic from Google. SEO is getting more expensive by the day and it's almost impossible to rank for anything without spending money on backlinks or activities that can attract links.

    Few things you need to concenrate
    1. Design , it is way old design 80's kind of .. Even if it rank , it will not convert. So work on your design and get a better one.

    2. Work on onpage - Title is something you need to concentrate

    3. Identify your keywords and work towards ranking them - right now it seems like you are shooting at the sky.

    4. Learn about onpage and offpage techniques , there are enough content here in this forum

    Well firstly i hope you submitter your site's map to Google Webmaster Tools and then also submit it to Bing webmaster tools ! SolveMyHow's Blogger category will be you in doing this.

    Then create account on few social media's like G+, Twitter, reddit, Stumble Upon etc. and start submitting you post links there. This will improve your SEO and your site will be visible to Google Search Engine.

    You may also check SolveMyHow's SEO category to increase website traffic!

    First off, thank you all so much! I research every tip I get from all of you.

    Ok, I think I am starting to get the hang of this somewhat, and have installed G-Analytics. From my reading, 'keyword stuffing' is making me a bit nervous. Yet, every source I hit tells me to use keywords repetitively on a page.

    So far, I am focusing on my homepage- Think Doggy

    I am focusing on 3 keywords/ 2 word phrases right now; I repeat them each 3-4 times on my homepage, and they are each included in my 'seo page title'. Is this too much? Not enough? I want to do this the best possible way without being penalized for 'keyword stuffing'.

    Once I get my homepage down pat, I am going to work on the rest of the site.

    Your website is less than 1 week old. So, that means, you should worry less on why it isn't found on Google and focus more on adding content to it. Good ol' quality content!
    And, I would also suggest you change your website's design, it just doesn't fit in with the new trends.

    I have considered, and am working with, all your comments and advice. Thankyou so much!

    It has been one day, so I am sure all of you can understand I haven't had time to implement all the ideas here. I haven't yet begun with backlinks; I want to further the appearance/content of my site before I expect others to want to promote it/list it on their sites (if I understand the meaning of backlinks correctly?).

    I'm probably flying in the face of convention here but I quite like your site, it's quirky and it looks like it was built by someone who doesn't know anything about web design.
    (no offence)

    But as for trying to rank it in the search engines, that will probably not happen anytime soon.
