Results are in. It is for the Google search engine. Lowest level in six years.
Google

OK so, why is this so? Google blames moz. They say that switching to Yahoo helped moz. Also, it helped Yahoo and Bing to grow.

Let me tell you the real reason.

Google use to tell us where our traffic was coming from, but not case any more.

I had an idea what was popular many years ago. Well, those days are over.

Mostly, it is NOT SET now. I did warm you. Well, this did hit back at em.

Let me explain it to you. I will use the metaphor of an ice cream man.

Kids scream, we hate vanilla cones and want strawberry and pecan.

OK so he gets rid of vanilla and bring in more pecan cones.

Then the kids are told by their neighbors to shut up.

The ice cream vendor does not know what to serve any more.

Pecan is expensive. Nuts cost money. Vanilla is cheaper so he gets that one. Kids stop coming.

Google use to tell us want content people wanted, but not any more.

Not sure I quite follow the reasoning. However, Google has definitely become the king of "managed content" and "personalized content".

Maybe people will want to choose their own content from a wider list - maybe they won't want "personalization" to the nth degree.

I doubt google is going down any time soon.
