How to rank an affiliate site on google ?

I want to build a website around a product from clickbank..
but how can I rank this site on google?
there are probably tons of affiliates who do the same

    Build backlinks by using Guest posts, Forum posting, and web 2.0 sites. Social media is another way to promote the products , but not ranking in Google.

    Facebook pages never rank in exact place, they can move up and down.

      Don't use these kind of link technique for 1st tier link building. These days web 2.0 and guest posting is very good for 1st tier link building and after that blog commenting, social bookmarking and forum discussion is good for 2nd tier link building.

    Invest in pay per click. I would suggest you create a blog and ad banners and links from the affiliate product on your blog. Then promote your blog on social media and create a pay per click campaign for your blog.

    yes you are right, tons of websites available related your business, it's very difficult to get rank well in Google.

    It's time for Content not backlink. Start informative, problem solving, case study etc types of content and put your targeted keywords on it.

    Content helps you rank better.

    Design site using wordpress - Google love wordpress
    write only useful content which provide good information at least 100 pages to start with.
    And then start getting some back links from quality sites.

    Here is basically what I did that made one of my affiliate sites ranked no. 1 in Google's Search engine results pages for a group of keywords:
    1. Built comprehensive and high quality review content.
    2. Built backlinks through blog commenting.
    3. Got mentioned and shared in social networks particularly twitter and facebook.
