Hey everyone,

Not sure if anyone is willing to give away this information freely but...

Web designer looking to out rank competition.
Looking for links associeted to web design and the best sites to acheive them.

I know I can out rank my competition who has hundreds of in footer links by finding relevent in body links. But I am having trouble finding sites to start linking on.

Any suggestions?

Btw I am going after a provincial market iN saskatchewan canada just so anyone who does help knows they are not helping their competition. Kehword example: "webdesign saskatchewan"

Thanks Yukon. Someone suggested Signature links in forums. I think i am going to start there. I was kinda hoping for a directory or list of the best sites to start adding my links to.

Doubtful you'll find any forum sig link worthy of ranking your own pages. They might generate global niche traffic but I would never consider it for SEO.

If I was only doing web design, I would be hammering out free themes/templates (hint). Setup about 20 freebie sites as a private network buffer to rank the money site/page.

There are lot of ways to generate backlinks not just from free templates or signatures and it is a webmaster niche.

PBN's may work, but I tested myself with forum signature long back, anyway let the OP will find out himself.

If you were Webdesigner then you could have understood how to get backlinks. As per keyword Webdesign use webmaster forums signatures to get rank in SERP..

You will get a lot of sales from forums with do follow links.

The best method to build quality links is through content. Create a story that is new for them, interesting of course, and engaging. If your content goes viral the traffic and rankings will follow.

Forum signatures should be nofollow, so it's doubtful that you can get good links from any quality forum.

If I remember correctly those footer links are something that Google doesn't like very much. If you pepper hundreds of unrelated sites with them, that may even lead to penalties. However, you should see what other stuff your competition is doing.
