    I use only Reddit, StumbleUpon and Delicious. I always note that I get some traffic from Reddit and StumbleUpon for couple of days when I submit an article on them.

      Sure, social bookmarking works.

      If you're looking a way to store your bookmarks and perhaps get site recommendations, that is. Doesn't do much as SEO.

    I use socialadr, but I stick with the free service. I think it still works, but not as well as it did when I started a couple of years ago.

    The advantage of the free service is that you are rate-limited to between 10 and 20 backlinks per day with a max of 200 for any one URL. That keeps your backlink profile under Google's radar. I guess that's also the disadvantage.

    If you're asking, "Does social bookmarking help my SEO and by how much?", the answer is little. It's kinda like trying to fill up a swimming pool by scooping water with your hands and pouring into the pool. Well, it would technically work, but it's so inefficient that by the time you see any substantial results, half your life has gone by and the entire industry has vanished.

    If you're asking, "Does social bookmarking help me get more traffic and by how much?" Reddit and StumbleUpon are the better ones for getting traffic, which you've already mentioned. Delicious is not as effective in my opinion for getting traffic.

    Social bookmarking helps you to drive traffic as well as build links for your website.
    And the strategies that I follow for social bookmarking are:
    Choosing the website having high PR and page authority like Stumbleupon, Reddit, Scoop-it.
    Always write unique description with relevant keyword.
    Use eye catching title tag.

    It`s good and this is what I doo all the time together with my main strategy. SB especially from high PR sites even if they are no follow have the value cos they give you diversification, whole link building process will looks to google more natural, less suspicious. So keep building them.

    Reddit and Stumbleupon have helped me a bit for traffic. but bookmarking still is low on my list of priorities compared to other tactics (forums/articles) - I don't see as much benefit now as I used to...
