How can i improve alexa rank of website instantly ?

Alexa stats are mostly useless. If you want some real data, use Analytics or more advanced tracking tool.

But that might not be the task at hand. Are you trying to pad the stats to fool someone? Wouldn't they see the real level from the graph that show some of the older statistics?

If you're dead set on increasing this useless vanity metric install the Alexa toolbar on every computer in your company and ask every employee to visit the site. I'm pretty sure you can also buy traffic for this purpose.

To increase alexa rank you must understand how it actually works.

Alexa gets traffic data from alexa toolbar, I mean if a visitor is visiting your website (alexa toolbar install in the browser) then that traffic will be counted by alexa to rank your website. On the other hand visitor without alexa toolbar won't be consider by alexa.

So first step is to add alexa widget to your website, so that each visit counted by alexa. Then you must share your content at relevant places so that more visitors come to your site and you'll see decrease in alexa rank (which is good).

Why are folks obsessed with Alexa ranking it makes no sense at all?

If you want to improve your Alexa ranking, concentrate on improving your Google rankings, more search traffic = a bigger chance of more visitors with the Alexa toolbar installed visiting your site.

They're hacks jacking up Alexa & selling the domains to clueless newbies.

It's basically like selling fake PR.

Yeah, you're probably right.
If I had more time on my hands I would make a sport out of asking some really awkward questions to Flippa trying to rip newbies off.

A while back I checked on few dozen sites that sold on there for up to $20k, more than handful were kaput, and had ceased to be.
A dangerous place indeed for the clueless.

Although Alexa ranking is useless still a lot of advertisers rely on it. I'm not sure why. Only bloggers would agree with me. There is a service called "Alexa boostup". Try it, it works.

Actually there is no instant way to increase your site Alexa Rank. I think you should know how the Alexa calculate the rank. If 3 visitors, visit your site. 2 visitor use the Alexa toolbar in their browser but 1 visitor does not use the Alexa toolbar. In this case the Alexa will count only 2 visitor. I mean it only count the alexa toolbar users traffic. Finally if you can increase your site traffic, your alexa rank will increase. I think you need to do the SEO. If you can do the SEO, your traffic will increase, you site Alexa rank will increase also. In this case you can hire freelancer. They will work for you. Thanks.

I agree with everyone here that Alexa is essentially a worthless number. However, if you're hung up on it, Alexa is based on 3-months worth of rolling data, so it's not a number you're going to improve upon overnight.

I do not agree. Customers buying web sites still look at the Alexa score. It is not perfect, but it is better than none. They use to also look at Google page rank years ago. Sadly, that metric is not as valuable now. Most sellers want to improve scores. Well, that takes time as you have to get more traffic to your web site from people with a tool bar and that is not easy.

Just don't rely on the Alexa ranking factors. Its not precise. However if you want to increase alexa rank than install alexa toolbar on your site as well as on your web browser. Because this is only the way alexa count visits, I assume.

Register your site with alexa, they will ask you to put one code to your header and once you verify your site with their code, your rank can be increase because then they will have perfect numbers of your site visitors and they will compare it with others.
