So, there's a lot of ways to link build/link outreach. More specifically,
I would like to know from YOUR experience, what was the % of replies back when it came to e-mail outreach for the following subjects...

Percentage of replies (estimate percentage) when it comes to....

  1. Broken link e-mail outreach
  2. Sponsored link e-mail outreach
  3. Free link e-mail outreach
  4. Review link e-mail outreach.
Thanks,
Paul

Can't say about the percent for each but if you are looking to buy paid links then they will respond you quickly.
Any thing free is totally on admin's mood or luck.

    Okay,

What were your average prices from bloggers / site owners from PR 1-3 and PR 4-6?
In addition, with a decent social profile. Not a PBN, but an actual site owned by a unique site owner.

I've not done this outreach stuff at all, but I've been at the receiving end. In my opinion it all depends on the quality of the content you're bringing to the table. You could get a free link from me, but the article would need to be decent, have some insight or useful points, and have no obvious advertising.

From business owner's point of view the other categories are tough. You're probably not going to pay nowhere near enough for me to justify any blatant advertising in my blog.

I'd find one of the sites where site owners can advertise this kind of ad placement, and see what kind of prices they're asking. Can't remember any right now, but there's at least couple of them.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

When we outreach, its usually some form of sponsored opportunity, we get about 1 in 8-9 contacts. Very effective form of link building.

If you email a blogger and ask if they are interested in a commercial agreement for quality content relevant to their audience, you should get upwards of 50% reply rate but depends on the vertical. I know for a fact that many massive name brands hire agencies who get links exactly like this.

Thanks for the insight. I"m just trying to create a marketing budget for myself as far as spending $$ for links. Anyone ever had experienced with the recipricol/sell link section in the WF? Any success with that for small sites?

As for my big site, I plan on spending around $100-1k per link depending on sites link profile. I'm just trying to see if I'm in the right range or if I can go cheaper or need to go higher when obtaining links. Just trying to find an average.

Don't waste your time in the reciprocal link section of the forum. That place is a total wasteland of junk. Nothing but bottom feeders and scam artists in that section. They should axe the whole thing and start over.

As for outreach, I got widely different results based on the market. Some markets are much more responsive than others. One thing that has worked fairly consistently well to start a dialogue is social outreach. Instead of sending out emails, most of which will never get read, try contacting them through a social account. I get a much higher response rate that way.

Ah so you reached out via Twitter/IG/FB?

Yes. Facebook can work great, but you want to be careful. They don't like spammers, so don't just start messaging 100 people that might mark your message as spam. You have to actually try to build a relationship first.

          Much better response rate though.

Yep, same with emails. I've landed links that way, talk shop about the niche for about 4 or 5 emails back & forth then work in a link request.

Yup. Plan on doing it! Relationship base for the win! Back to the grunt work we go. Might just hire my VA to do it, but it's hard for them to understand how to start a conversation..

If you are sending cold emails to the bloggers, response rate would be very low ..1 to 2% from my experience.. But If you take it a step further such as making some initial contact such as retweeting, replying to comments, sending feedbacks to improve their site/content then when you ask for a link later , your request is more likely to get accepted.

Yes there are some initial work involved but pays off in the long run.

Why not just buy domains for your own PBN?

I can't imagine why you would play games with WSO type links. I'm sure most of those guys are reselling fiverr gigs, lol.

Yeah I plan on doing my own PBN. I never really took a strong grasp with learning how to setup a PBN. So in the mean time I'll just buy links from sites / bloggers (OUTSIDE of WSO type links LAWL).

That guy helping you out, Mike Friedman, he has a no bullshiii course on PBNs. IT's in his sig. And the private forum is good too.

SEO Training Course | The SEO Pub Academy

I kept reading and reading on how to buy a PBN site, and even bought another course first. It was only after Mike's site I jumped in and it WORKS.

Other linkbuilding methods too not just PBN so save your money, and build your own network.

It all depends on your outreach email and the content you are pitching.

I've been sent out more than 20-30k emails, but roughly:
    • 1) Broken link building converts the best IMHO, unless you are going after sites that have been updated in 2000-2005
    • 2) Slightly over 75% - most of the ppl are still "in" for the money.
    • 3) Not quite sure what do you mean by free outreach, something like resources pages? If so, then roughly 5% - 10%
    • 4) Don't know what you mean by review, sorry bro.

    Hope that helps?!

    Hi Paul,

We have sent over 3000 emails since December last year. Based on our experience, I would say we get the following percentage -
    1. Works almost 50% of the time if sent to those websites that were last updated in last 3 months.
    2. You would get close to 90% on such emails. To be honest, I think the percentage is even higher than 90%.
    3. About 30% of the time if you offer them relevant original content or info-graphic or a bit of both. We usually do link outreach by sending an infographic and about 300 words of original content. This converts well.
    4. Haven't done much of these due to nature of my clients. However, the conversion ratio would be less than 5% ... just a guesstimate
    Hope this data helps.

    Much success!
