Ask Google. Their article on this topic is very informative.

Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

Looks like any website that isn't responsive and mobile friendly will get nuked.

If the sites linking to your site get nuked it seems like your sites rankings will drop also. Bad times ahead for many I'm guessing. Time will tell though.

Would you please just stop this FUD and read Google's article?

Nothing is getting "nuked". They're adding a new ranking factor, and tooling their mobile search. Yes, your site may drop, but there's 200 other ranking factors that can affect it too.

Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results.
Google is not always open about their changes, but this time they're making it pretty clear. Why do you still keep guessing?

Zineb Ait Bahajji from google webmaster team said..

        "the new mobile-friendly
algorithm change will have more of an impact on search rankings
than either Panda or Penguin, two of the largest and most impactful
search algorithm updates Google has ever launched.”

Mate.. penguin nuked a lot of ******* sites.

What google article are you referring to? You posted a link to some google search results

Well, yes. A lot of piss-poor thin-content sites and sites with artificially boosted link profiles have suffered from these updates, but it was just good news for most people. And so is this.

The results from Panda and Penguin are much more pronounced in our little IM bubble than you'd see somewhere else. The upcoming change is not a punishment for select few but all-around ranking change. So it's easy to see why they'd call this a bigger thing. It simply affects every result on some level.

Still, I would not fret about it. Take a few hours to prepare your site, or hire something to do it. That's as much as you can do in any case.

The first result. The one in their blog, the one I quoted above. It's not that hard to find.

If the site is not mobile friendly than it may loose its ranking, people are notified by google about their website being not mobile friendly.
