Yes I agree with you. Majestic is very good too as it shows Trust Flow which is very important factor in these days when you buy domains for your PBN.

I forgot to add Market Samurai. This is a great tool for analyzing competition. Simultaneously you can see various metrics of the top 10 sites.

Ugh. Market Samurai is a total POS.

A bunch of useless metrics that people think help them determine competition. Lol.

Tried Market Samurai, but it was useless to me too. Either it didn't do jack, or the data was questionable. The problem might've been between chair and keyboard, but confusing and barely working product mixed with constant hype and upsell really sour the relationship to the vendor. I just want nothing to do with that crap.

Screaming Frog is a good one. I use Rank Tracker from SEO Powersuite, but Advanced Web Ranking (Desktop) isn't too bad if you happen to have a version that doesn't crash all the time.

Google Analytics is a must have unless someone is willing to pay for a better visitor stats tool. That's surprisingly rare.

My all time favourite is View HTML Source.

And these are the same answers I would've given last year, and probably the year before that too.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

In recent months often using SwissMadeMarketing which is a great tool to find profitable and no so high competitive niches. They have a lot of functionality which allows to find also a high demand keyword with little competition which is a great advantage.

To rank and competitive analysis for my mothers day 2015 event blog, I am using:

    1) Open Site Profiler so backlink analysis of competitors.
    2) Ahrefs for live backlinks checking.
    3) Moz for DA and PA.

    And thats all.

Well...it`s not 2015 anymore, but the same rules that applied in 2015 also apply now.
Your best tools to use should be the ones provided by Google.
The other ones should be used just to complete the idea you already have by using GA and GWT.
