Help wanted to get more traffic and ranking on all search engines for my super niche ecommerce site

Hello everyone,

I am fairly well educated and current on SEO, however I am reaching a road block on how I can successfully achieve more traffic and better rankings for my highly niche ecommerce site.

I would appreciate any help that you can offer and I would love to get some white hat backlinks.

I have a US and an AU site and would love to get both of them doing better, but I especially want to get the US site to do a lot better as it's got very little traffic happening. I know that I have a great product (because of my numerous AU clients since 2007).

The US site I would love to target to the USA and Canada for traffic + rankings in the big search engines.

As I am such a small business, $$$ is a serious factor and from my experiences in the past with advertising I know that offline doesn't really work and online in restaurant/spa directories doesn't really do anything either. Emailing businesses directly and them finding my website has provided the highest converting results.

Here is the US site. I look forward to any help that can be provided.

    Hi

I recommend you just use affiliate commission system on your site , and your business running automatically

you dont need SEO and other things , just use affiliate system and your business on top in a month

I have seen your site. I think what you need is to go back to your previous customers and market to them over again with premium offers. You have to create premium offers for your previous customers in this case, like a freebie for a certain amount of purchases. Ask for testimonials from your customers and include it in your site. Create a facebook fanpage and let it be shared through facebook with a weekly or monthly raffle for those who keep on sharing your page to their friends. Rewards can be any of your products or if you want it can be cash rewards.

You should also continue on what has been working previously and that is emailing businesses. This time it should be on a bigger scale. Make your customers be your affiliates and pay them a percentage for any sale they refer to you. Lots of work but I believe it will work and if I were you, that is exactly what I will be doing.

I've seen these candles, and they're a good idea. As far as I can remember we didn't burn any real ones during the christmas because we had these. 4-yo could even "light" them herself.

But the thing that I didn't guess was the amount of competition this product already has. Just check "battery operated window candles". I'm sure OP knew that already... Unfortunately the competing sites also seem fairly strong.

I'd experiment with longer keywords, but that might not help too much. You've obviously done some link building already, but unfortunately you might just have to do more of it. I didn't do a thorough examination, but your site seems to be well-built and your content strategy seems good too.

Have you already tried Adwords? If you can work out your customer acquisition cost you can work out what to pay for the ads.

The front page isn't really inviting. Text lines a bit too long to read, so that's something I'd look into. But it doesn't really help that much if you can't get visitors.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and feedback.

I have already started looking into starting my own affiliate system for the site.

I do ask customers for testimonials/reviews but getting them to actually take the 2 mins to write it is not easy.

Once again- thanks everyone for taking the time so far to provide me with some feedback

Personally I'm not really fond of WP sites they are the biggest obstacle in SEO their SEO plugins notwithstanding. A nice html5 site with SEO structure and a WP addon for some additional service Ok and you most likely would get higher in ranking.

As for sales all what was mentioned before seems fine.

Why do you keep saying this stuff? Have you got anything at all to back up your claim?

It's nice that you really like your way of building websites. That, however, doesn't prove anything at all. So many popular websites run on WordPress that your claim seems patently absurd.

If you're talking to a bunch of average entrepreneurs they're probably way better off with an established CMS because they can concentrate on publishing. On-page technical aspects are a very small part of SEO.

You say that you are very knowledgeable about SEO.

Then you must know that High Quality, Contextual PBN links are the strongest there is right now.

My suggestion would be to build more contextual PBN links with naked urls and branded anchor text...

For a niche ecommerce website, one needs to go for high quality content marketing activities like article submission, high press release submissions.

The best thing to do is to setup a affiliate based system in which you pay your affiliate a defined commission based on every sale. This will help your business to grow by allowing affiliates to promote your product on your behalf.

According to me Facebook is the best way to give traffic from USA.
Build Facebook fan page and build USA audience on the page.

And keep paying for Facebook's promoted posts to reach this "audience" you've sort of built. I do know that it drives traffic for some businesses, tho.
