.com and .net is more expensive because more people are liked both. And this is better for business & Brand.

      Not expensive, but popular!

Many people immediately add the ".com" to a dommain because they are more accustomed to it, otherwise all the other domains can be ranked with good SEO

If the extension is not country specific it doesn't matter.

Also, what are you talking about? I've got one .co, and it's perhaps the most expensive domain for me to keep. There's always sale somewhere on the less well known TLDs, but that's for the first year only. Renewals are typically at the regular price.

Namecheap shows that .ninja is almost $15 to renew, .co is $23, and .io is $33. Only cheap TLD of those is .us at $8.5.

.com and .net are not more expensive.

Did you know that the majority of websites in the world do
not use .com? If you did not know that, you don't know
      the internet.

You know what is funny? There are so many cartoonish extensions now
offered, I can't keep up. I have no desire to get a designer extension
that costs literally hundreds of dollars.

I have never been much of a domain person, but I cannot fathom that
plumbers.expert is going to rank any time soon. They would have
a lot of comp, and what's the point if you already own one that does?

These designer label domains have got a long, long way to go.

Obscure extensions command a higher price because the others are more popular? That doesn't make any sense.

The pricing for those new TLDs is arbitrary. You're paying for a glorified web pointer, and the cost should be under $1.

Yes because they are popular and rank globally well compared to cctld.
