Search engine content in a search engine? (google) SEO

I have a site that indexes Usenet text message archives : The Usenet Archive - Search Usenet News Text Messages

Google has indexed about 28,300,000 pages :
https://www.google.com/search?q=site...netarchive.com

Im getting some traffic and some adsense but I have done ZERO SEO work..

Being that the site itself is both a search engine and content pages, do you recommend I only do SEO/linkbacks for the homepage? Or get links to subpages like this : Re: many great hk dvds - bruce lee, john woo, jet li, tsui hark, jackie chan... - The Usenet Archive

Thanks for any advice im very new to this and I realize this site is a bit different than most sites as it is a search engine itself.

    If it were my site, I'd automate as much SEO as I could (through scripting) for the inner-pages, but manually SEO the heck out of the home page. Once finished with the home page, I'd manually SEO the main group pages (alt.this, misc.that, etc) only.

    There's not a single dollar amount that would convince me to manually SEO 28,300,000 pages individually.

    having 28300 K webpages OMG. if i get one sponsor link form you guys, then i don't need to do seo for my website.

    Yup there is 2 options - one is penalize or get ranked. while checking your domain on Moz it shows 2/17 spam score, so you aren't spammer.

    You should focus on the Index and categories Page. Try to add Bred crumbs. Do seo for the categories like first and second order links for your website.
