I am from Ukraine, so I'm sorry for my bad English in advance. When I analyzed my competitor backlinks, I found out that many links are from Joomla. For example:

    It's probably not something that the Joomla sites are supposed to have. The CMS or that particular component may have a security issue, and old unpatched Joomla versions have known holes.

    So it's breaking in just to add a spam post. Not just ineffective form of spam, but even more illegal than your regular spam.
