Value in YouTube backlinks from others' product reviews?

So, I work for a company that has an awesome product that a lot of people like to review. We have plenty of videos on YouTube of others reviewing our products, and all of these videos are positive.

However, I'm curious as to whether we would gain SEO value from reaching out to these reviewers and attempting to get them to link back to our site in the video description? From what I've read, it's a nofollow link, but it may be good just as an extra referral source to drive traffic to our site.

Would there be any SEO value from getting these links? Thoughts on whether that would be worth the effort?

Thanks in advance for any advice or thoughts on the matter!

Aaron

yes, it's worthy link. My Youtube strategy says it's most effective to Write a big description including your link.

Just do it so it looks naturally. Don't just add the link there, but try to make people interested in it (so they can visit your website). And for SEO, be sure NOT to include many keywords there, a few sentences are pretty enough, don't repeat them, just a very quick summary of the video + a link in the end (or anywhere in the short content!)

Nofollow is nofollow, and traffic is not known to be a ranking signal for Google. If SEO is your main consideration this is probably pretty much pointless.

However, as a traffic and branding strategy this might work.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?
