Hey everybody,

Today is my first day at warrior forum. I am trying to find some keywords to start a new blog weight loss. I don't see average CPC option while searching for keywords and should I click average monthly searches option while searching? I would like to know what should I choose high, medium or low competition? A guy told me to choose low competition keyword which has 1,000 searches and some say go with medium or High competition.Which will be better for a new blog? Kindly help me out guys.

It depends on what your trying to do, Adwords or organic SERPs.

The competition column on the keyword planner is only for Adwords.

Everyone & their brother is looking for low comp. keywords & you're in the weight loss niche so it's going to be slim pickings.

You're literally picking one of the toughest competition niches to learn SEO.

The cash cow is a low competition, high CPC keyword.

You start a blog relevant to the niche associated with that keyword. You rank the blog so it appears at the top of the search engine results when people search for that keyword. They visit your blog and see ads relevant to the niche. They click those ads and you earn the high CPC.

    Easier said than done, though.

    Good luck.

      Hey spurge0n

Thanks for your advice. But, I don't see CPC option in Google keyword planner. Is it because I am not using Adsense and Adwords at the moment?
