Should I use blogger?

Hey everyone!

I have decided to make a micro niche website regarding weight loss. I have the targeted keywords. I am going to use blogger and buy a domain name too. I will do SEO and social media marketing for site.The reason of using blogger is I don't have enough money to invest in wordpress. But, later I will move to wordpress if I get good results from blogger. Do you guys think I can make money from blogger if do everything in right direction? furthermore, I also read that an Indian guy invested 60$ , just worked 40 hours and made 2200$(including affiliate marketing). Do you think it's possible to earn from Google adsense in a short period of time? please guide me

    Yes, You can use blogger for this if you don't want to spent more at first time. But if you have long term business plan and have no crises on money you can start with buying a domain because in the next time when you will transfer your site all of your previous marketing will be vanished.

    Bad idea mixing Adsense with a weight loss niche. Throw blogspot in the mix & the idea gets even worse.

    If you had said your niche was something that wasn't notorious for scams (ex: weight loss niche) then blogspot isn't a problem for starting out small online.

      Unless you are doing something exceptional for the niche..... that I honestly dont think is the case.... question to OP why dont you chose another niche? it seems like you are starting why do you start in such a competitive niche?

          A fool and his adsense are soon parted....I would not touch weight loss with your
          ten foot pole. (that didn't come out right)

          Blogger is a CMS, complete with countless themes, widgets, plugins, templates, etc.

          One of the best in the biz. Just saying.

        Actually, I searched for top paying Google adsense niches for 2015 and found many niches along with weight loss. I read some articles about selecting keywords, there I read that choose a high-paying niche, select low competition keywords, make long tail keywords and write quality content, then apply for Google adsense once get a good amount of traffic. Yes, I am about to start a new website that's why asking this question here, so my hard won't go in vain. I think every niche is competitive e.g tech, SEO, finance, health etc. Then how can a newbie like me choose a niche? I am a writer and can write on any niche. I am just looking for a niche that can provide me good results. According to you, which niche should I choose?

      Is weight loss niche notorious for scams? BTW I am a writer and can write on any niche e.g finance, SEO, make money online, etc. According to you, which niche is not notorious for scams and is also high-paying?

        Here's a tip, unless you can drive massive amounts of traffic (ex: ehow) the Adsense ship has sailed because Google/Adsense is focused on mobile (local) not on-page text like the good old days.

        If you really want to run Adsense try Youtube videos with forced pre-roll ads where traffic doesn't have to click anything & still get paid. Youtube has all the built in traffic you need, figure out an evergreen niche that generates tons of views across a lot of videos.

        You won't make a bunch of money in a short amount of time being new to Adsense, not happening so forget that pipe dream.

    You're better of getting your own domain and using Wordpress! It's really not expensive, a few bucks for the domain, then find a decent webhosting company, get the smallest plan available and just install Wordpress (which is free, the script, the thousands of themes and plugins available, they're all free).
    Don't waste your time with blogspot, it's never a good idea to use blogspot or wordpress.com...

      Those are alright as long as you're using your own domain. It's better to get the ball rolling than tinker with a CMS or theme. Visitors don't care one bit about the underlying technology.

    Ignore the naysayers and go ahead and use Blogger. Many newbies started out with it and some of them have achieved immense success online. However, don't believe the hype that you can make a profit of $2200 off a $60 investment in 40 hours as a newbie. It's rare to see that happen.

    Better don't go with Adsense for this niche! Weight loss niche is VERY competitive and you'd better earn comissions with Affiliate Marketing. It would be hard to get a LOT of targetted visitors nowadays! Or at least not easily or IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME as you said!

      Thanks for your advice. According to you which niche should I use to earn money via Google adsense? According to you which niches are not competitive? And can anybody make money with can uncompetitive niche?
