    Not really. WordPress in itself does some basic stuff like search friendly URLs, and it's pretty good on this front. However, when it comes to site building and technical on-page stuff the theme you choose is going to have the biggest impact.

    It's just impossible to answer your question unless you give more information.

    You can install one of the popular SEO plugins, but they merely massage a couple of lines of HTML that your theme is probably already adding. Here's a couple of excellent comments on this topic.

    Have a look at the Yoast plugin for Wordpress. Makes it very easy to do SEO. You can't expect SEO just to happen if you build a Wordpress site though.

    WordPress is just a CMS, it has nothing to do with SEO.

    It's the Plugins that add the powerful SEO for you, such as the SEO one by Yoast.

      There's not a definite timeframe to rank for keywords. It may take 1 week, 2 months, 6 months or just 2 days even (many factors apply including keyword saturation, competition, right type of keyword placement etc.). Use Google Keyword Planner tool to understand what your target audience is searching for.

      It took me 75 days to rank my e-book affiliate website which was a test project but it turned out to be a success, however, at that point of time, I didn't know much about internet marketing except putting keywords here and there within my articles I still rank on the first page for getting commissions for a book which is relatively the best seller on Amazon.com.

      Go to https://yoast.com/focus-keyword/ and use their plugin on your website. Go through the tutorials for more knowledge.

    There might not be any effect There are various plugins available in Wordpress that are helpful to achieve high page ranks.
