Hi friends...

I have a 5 page website created last month... i am going to rank it for a low compensation keyword...

Can you please let me know how many times (min and max) I should use the keyword I mean in each post/ each meta tag title/meta tag description so that rank it still be on the safe side? Is it enough to have the keyword I meant just 1 time in the post and in the meta tags or not? Any rule of thumb?

Thank you so much...

    Hi there,

It is advisable that you add your keyword in the Title, Title Tag, a couple of times in service description and maybe in the footer. Also, you get better ranking chances if you mention your keywords 2 times in meta description which shouldn't exceed 160 characters. Add your Meta keywords carefully, for eg, if your keyword is "my keyword" you keywords should be somewhere like: my keyword, my keyword company, my keyword services etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

    Hi,

    Read here http://www.metatags.org/examples_making_meta_tags

Below guide is for off page activities.
You have to use keyword once in a one post and also need to change it after 3 or 4 post. Means you need to change anchor text as below forms:
    1) long tail keyword
    2) 1 phrase keyword
    3) direct keyword
    4) branded keyword

See this - Anchor Text Distribution Formula. SEO Anchor Text Strategy Examples.

It can be helpful to you.

Once, and not even in the title.

That's all you need as long as the rest of the content contains a handful of closely related terms and variations.

That's only if you have an extremely high-authority website. I would not recommend this advice at all to newbies starting new websites.

For a 500-ish word piece of content, the best way to go is once in the first 50 words of the content, somewhere in the middle and once in the last 100 words. The keyword should also be in the H1 if you can make it sound natural. You should also be sprinkling in some secondary keywords related to your main keyword. Bolding the main keyword is not necessary.

Having an outbound link to a high-authority .gov or .org with related information is highly recommended. I always include an inbound link in my CTA at the bottom, also. Like someone else said, titling your images as keyword names is great (ex. how-to-lose-belly-fat).

Obviously you still want to get backlinks on related sites, as well.

Basically, if you site is really good, you only NEED to mention it once (maybe not even once if the site is very powerful).

But YOUR site is brand new. Throw the keyword around, so google sniffs you out...title, meta, h1, mid-paragraph(bold letters).

Then update your content to remove the keywords later. Slowly remove them, when you feel strong enough to show up without them. 1month, 6 month, year,2 years...depends on site, keywords, competition.

Google tests to see if your site is relevant for certain keyterms. If I type "open source encyclopedia"....wikipedia will rank high (top)....even if the words 'open source encyclopedia' are nowhere on the page.

On the home page, "google" is an image. The word 'google' is NOT on text on the page.
      Yet Google ranks.

If your site sucks, you test the keywords a million ways and they will all fail.

Very interesting post, but how does reducing keywords in the future help?

"how does reducing keywords in the future help?"

          It doesn't nessecarily, really.

It can be replaced with better content, better phrasing, cleaner title/headers.

I sort of advised spamming the keyword a little, just to let google get the point...reducing in the future is just clean-up. There's a great way to phrase, focus and structure everything, and rarely does keep using the same words/phrase.

The best way to use your keyword is to add them in your pages meta tag and meta description. Use it in the content and blog posts but keep it between 2% - 3% to keep it organic.

I personally put my key words into the Title, description, image tags, 1st paragraph and sprinkled throughout the content.

If you combine that with 'Schema Markup', you will get decent results. The schema markup leaves Google in no doubt as to the importance of specific words.

I know the above methods work as a few sites I have built rank in the top 2-4 for a lowish competition key phrases and I haven't built a single link to them, where as the sites around them all have lots of links.

So I can only assume that they are ranking on the optimization alone. The plugin I use is WP Social.

I do not believe in keyword density nor how many times a keyword should be mention on the site. Don't get me wrong but I agree that the use of keyword is necessary. But, If you want to rank for a certain keyword then make sure that your site have the enough information to tell what it is about.
