I am currently learning adwords about 7-8 months,I can say that I know really a lot but still have to learn more and more everyday...

You will need about 2 months just to start and familiarize yourself with everything.

In adwords it is all about experience...

I have an campaign for about 5 months and before I was paying $0.30 a click but now only $0.05 a click and that is a $25 difference for every 100 clicks,as I said the more experience you have the better you will be and of course more profitable.

Much like anything else pertaining to IM, you should get your feet wet as soon as possible. By this I mean, read 3-4 adwords forum posts and tip guides before you actually drop a little bit of cash on it yourself.

You can learn quickly by making small mistakes and you will avoid suffering from the worst problem that can afflict any budding marketer :Lack of taking action.

I am scared of it now. I used it back in 2000 when what you bid is what you paid. Sure would be nice to get those days back again

I just started to play with AdWords. A quick question: I know G is not happy with arbitrage but does that mean if i wanted to use AdWords to promote my web site, that site can not have any AdSense Ads? The site mostly are Affiliate products but with contents so I used to put some Adsense ads there and I don't wnat to remove it only for this campaign. Will this violate AdSense ToS?

you can drive adsense traffic with adwords but make sure you have good content and at least one link where they can click to go for more information that does not have adsense ads

It takes some time. Start testing it out slowly so you don't end up blowing your budget. I see too many people whining about Google "stealing their money" and complaining that it doesn't work, when really they just have no idea what they're doing. Adwords is a complex system with many features. Everything has to come together perfectly (your keywords and they way you group them, you ad copy, and your landing page). And remember, everything is about relevance. The more relevant your landing page, ad copy, and keywords are in relation to one another, the less you pay per click. If all these things come together, you WILL succeed, but it won't be overnight. It's really up to you whether or not you want to invest the time. When you become skilled at Adwords, you can jump start just about any site/product and get traffic and sales pretty quickly.

I second Dan's comment about Perry Marshall. Good stuff.

I've been using Adsense for 5 years. It is only recently that I have been studying it. I would say that it would take two or three months of part-time exploration and study to gain a solid foothold. Mastery of Adsense would be a much more time-intensive undertaking.

If you want to learn anything than dedication and determination is must. Just give some time on constant basis ... do not try to grab everything in first instance.

    Constant learning is good.
