I have a wordpress blog set up on my main domain. I installed another wordpress blog on a subdomain of the main domain.

Will google index the posts on that subdomain at the same rate of the posts on the main domain?

Also, is there anything I should do to make sure google finds the posts on the subdomain?

I think to get your posts in the subdomain indexed, you MUST submit each post to http://digg.com, that's what I always do to get my posts indexed. So every time you've made 1 post, submit it to http://digg.com, just make sure that the keyword in the post you're submitting is included in the TITLE and DESCRIPTION when you submit your post to http://digg.com

Be sure to also get backlinks for each post that you have. This will give your targeted keywords rank well in SERP.

      Good luck

Be careful submitting every post to Digg - you are likely to get your account barred for spamming. Just make sure you ping every post - which is done automatically by wordpress anyway.

It will take a while for the spiders to drop by so don't expect pages to index as quickly as your first site. You might want to link from your main domain to your subdomain to help the spiders find their way.

Post your link to digg.com + mixx.com and add your link to some PR3+ blogs via blog commentings + Get some more bookmarks from other bookmarking sites too. You will get indexed soon

You have to make it look natural, Bookmarking is not the only thing you can do with a URL? And as far as pinging goes use this smart pinger MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer

A subdomain...if I know correctly, to some degree, counts as its own domain. I don't think Google will just index it from your main domain.

Of course, to index all the tips above are great. Those sites are indexed every millisecond so your site will be found quickly... that really isn't a problem like it used to be. The more important task is building many relevant links. If you do this your site will be indexed naturally. Posting articles will have your site indexed as soon as the article is approved. Google works fast!
