Hi all,

I want to start a new Q&A website with a friend in my own country, but i was thinking what the change is to succeed. Isn't it to late for such website?

Some ideas of us:
- A general website, build up by niches and expand till it's general
- As a admin I check the answers, when they are good i 'accept' them. (admin is me + some other people)
- New questions needs to be accepted by my team.
- Only 1 answer per question, except when someone has some extra value information.
- New members can sign up and answer/set up questions, when they are accepted by the team, they earn points. The top three members within each month will receive a giftgard for let's say €75/€50/€25.

-The content is short, but it's all questions so all long tail keywords. I want to accept everything personal in case someone goes spamming etc. Linkbuilding etc will be done.

What are the things i'm overlooking right now?

I don't think it's too late to start one of these..but you might want to try and target a specific niche.. Maybe something like "Gamer Q&A" or "Webmaster Q&A"..or a Q&A based for your country like "India Q&A"

It's in a foreign language, but it isn't a bad idea to make it a specific niche. I guess try to cover all things (make a new yahoo answers?) is just a thought who is too big?

If you are devoloping any website and promoting on your own you need to know the subject throughly. At the begining , you may not get the answers from the users quickly. But you will be getting questions ASAP you start the website.
Encouraging users to give more answers by giving Gift Card is an good idea.
Ofcourse you can accept multiple answers from the users, if they are unique.

Thanks a lot! Looks like you have build one on your own? haha

Another question, when I let users answer the questions, is there any way that the website gets a penalty for duplicate content? I guess i can't look for duplicate content for a couple of thousands answers ?

Yes, it's too late, don't waste your time.

Facebook doesn't exist because MySpace is such a HUGE powerhouse in 2015.

Yeah that make sense ... because Facebook is founded 11 years ago and at the moment it isn't a good time to start a new social media without a huge budget.

      Enough about that.

      Someone some more tips/tricks/ídeas?

Dear, If you are doing any work You will never be late but if you are going to take action now, just go for it. Q&A is good thing - with this i recommend you to hire some persons for promoting it on every platform. Engage with your visitors as much as you can. Once it settle, then it will be best for you. Best of luck.
