Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking of starting my own health website, so I've browsed in the links of
breathmd.com and I see links coming from high quality websites such as:

Rolling in the Throat

(look at the bottom

References:

1. Breath MD. Available at BreathMD.com.
2. WebMD. Available at WebMD - Better information. Better health..
)

How the hack do you get those links? Is it link bait?

All I want to do is get high quality links like that...

Best Regards,
Erik

The person who wrote the article used material from those domains so referenced them.

That's normal behavior with news type sites, they reference their source material.

If you want your site referenced this way create material others will reference this way.

    Hi David,

But how do you get people to know about you? I can write the best article in the world but nobody will know about it...and nobody will reference it

You make a site that generates traffic.

When people write articles they will use Google to find sources, so the site you linked to will have had the article writer search Google for a relevant source, copy the info and reference it.

It's a chicken and egg scenario, you need to be popular to be more popular. Which means until others can find your content they aren't going to reference it in their articles as a source.

Be an authority in the health field, that is the only way anyone will reference you. Think about it, you write an article about some new fitness method that yields amazing results and you need references for anyone to take it seriously if you aren't a researcher or doctor yourself so who do you reference ?. Some random unknown website or established websites or scholarly articles ?. Obviously the latter.

If you are looking strictly for backlinks, there are other better ways than spending your energy in hopes for someone to reference you. That ain't going to happen ever because so many established sites are already in health field you have to publish research articles or something to be even noticed.

    Good luck
