No Longer On Page one Of Google, How Do I Get There Again?

Hi Warriors, I need help again. I am having some problems with a site of mine. I wrote a product review a while ago and did some backlinks ( using Angela and Paul's backlinks) and also did some social bookmarking using ( James bookmarking service) and was on page 1 for the keyword after 1 week.

I was on page one for over 2 weeks but I notice I am no longer on the fist 10 pages of google right now. In fact I was already making money.

I used to be on page 1 position 7 ( went as far as position 5 ) for product plus review and page 2 position 13 ( or so) for product name but I am no longer on the first 10 pages for any of these keywords.

Things I did,

I edited the review and that was it, nothing more.

Could this be reason why I am not on page one? If yes how long do you think it will take before I get back there again?

Please advice me.

Thanks in advance.

rankings change all the time. Based on my experience it takes a few months for the site to settle. your site has only been around for a month or so it still a baby. Build more backlinks and let it be. If after a few month your still no where to be found it's possible the competition is tough not worth your while.

Buy his backlinks. I got to page one in a couple of days and still holding. I've repurchased to stay there. Great bargain and service.

I've bought off of him a couple times and got good results as well. My rankings drop also after awhile. Sometimes the site comes back a few days later in an even better position, othertimes you just need to do more backlink building is needed.

  • Google slapped a lot of fake review sites last week. Not saying yours was fake, but if you were reviewing a product and had an affiliate link in the review, there's a good chance they sandboxed you.

I don't think this is the case here. I hear the sites whose ranking dropped were those using good adwords.

I have contacted James concerning this some 2 weeks or 3 weeks ago but he said it is not possible to rebook mark or did I get him wrong?

      Hi yommys,

I think be patient and let your site settle. There's likely nothing to worry about and it's just Google doing what Google does. It happens to pretty much all of us. Your site will settle, just keep on building those backlinks.

Hi Jenni, its being a while. Thanks for the reply to my thread. I guess I have to do more backlinks.

I am a bit in a haste because I want to sell the site and finally break the 1k month barrier. Site already made $80 so far.

What I can't figure out about mine (not the one in my sig) is that it ranks on first page of Google, doing the dance, but nowhere in Bing or Yahoo.... ???

You should always try to keep building backlinks while you're on top, even if its just a few. Also like others have said, it might take a few months for google to find your backlinks so be prepared to wait for them to kick in.

This is a very common phenomenon. Google gives a bump for a new site for a week or so and then it falls of rankings. Same thing happened to another review site of mine (was making good money during the 2 weeks it was on first page) and then vanished to be seen nowhere. I used another packet of Angela, but still the site never came out of the sandbox. After 4 weeks in this state, I published a bunch of articles linking back to the site. Boom. The site was back on page 1 within a day!

Your site is probably just doing the google dance. Angela talks about it on the email when she sends out her packets.

It will probably be back up there....

        Hi yommys01,

Sounds like you experienced the typical effect of the QDF freshness factor. You get a short term boost in rankings because your page is new, after which your page sinks to it's true ranking.

Now you need to to get busy promoting and marketing your website if you want to earn your way back up the rankings.

Every new page on every website is effected by the so called "sandbox effect". There is nothing that you did to cause this effect and nothing you can do to avoid it. It is built into the ranking algorithm and simply gives more weight to pages that have been around while because they have stood the test of time and earned the trust that they deserve.

It's probably that and some of the backlinks may have been to blogs and when the links go into the archives the links gives less of a boost. The same thing happens when you submit to ezinearticles, you get a great link boost when you submit the article and it's on the homepage of a high PR site, but then it sinks to the archives and the high PR link disappears. But the new website thing has a lot to do with it probably.

Hi, I would suggest that you understand that you should not put all your eggs in one basket, as these things ALWAYS happen. If you only have one site, you will be trapped if Google did this. As what happened.

Follow their advice. I suggest that you build backlinks slowly, only 1-2 per day.

Then increase organic traffic. By posting to web2.0 etc. Don't link directly to your site, it will be penalized.

    Good luck.

maybe Google updates... Rankings are like wheels... If you didn't do something wrong, then no worries...Check it again later

Its true that when you update your site, it might decrease your ranking. I tried it and happen to me before, so I understand your problem.

I would suggest that you look into the on-page of your site, then build your off-page with strong and lasting links.

Note here that your on-page should not be changing again as you will experience your ranking changing.

      Hope it helps.

Some people are saying I might have been hammered by google because of the review. Does any warrior think this is the case?

I have started building links again and I am going to distribute 35 new articles to see if I can make some quick sales and also get back to page one.

I think people are confusing the recent "Google Slap", which only effects Quality Scores for AdWords advertisers, with organic SERP ranking. There is no relationship between those two.

Your situation, as you described it, can be explained purely as the result of Google's freshness factor. You have not been penalized or "hammered", just experiencing the natural fluctuations of Google's algorithm.

Try Angela & Paul back links package, keep doing the back links until you see your site show up again and keep the position...

I just keep doing back links, any of my site that is no where to be found will show up again in 2 weeks...!

The same thing did happened to my site for main keywords (two).

I'm sharing with u my real experience..

Initially my site ranked very well on top 5 position in Google for these two keywords and sent good traffic to my site.

Unfortunately, after i did bookmarking (massive??) exercise for my site on about 30 social networking sites within less than 3hrs from single account and using single anchor text, the day after that i found my site was no longer on the same rank as before.

In fact, i can't find my site on first 10 pages of google for both keywords which my site previously ranked very well on first page.

I did some search about this situation and found some interesting facts that i never aware before.

You can get the same info if u search little bit in this WF.

Luckily my site come back on first page of google with better rank for one of the keywords, but not for the other one. I have no idea when my site will be back on goole page for the second keyword.

Some people say it's google dance..but i'm not really sure.

To avoid losing of traffic due to this 'dance' (which possible to happen again), now i develop more pages with more keywords.

If google 'dance' again with any of my keyword, i have other keywords as backup to bring traffic to my site.

Just to let u know that, during the 'dance' my site still remain intact at #1 on Yahoo. So, it's really google dance..and yahoo won't follow!

    Cheers..

Thanks for this wonderful reply. I guess I will continue building backlinks.

I am actually trying to take over the first 10 pages of google for my product name and the product name plus review.

I have successfully gotten 2 urls on the top 10 but I need my main site to get into top as it used to be in the past to increase my chances of making sales.

Does any one have an idea how long this google dance can last?

I had a site on Google in the top spot for a product name for years (making at least $300 a month with no work) and last month I fell off and disappeared forever.

Luckily I just checked which is really good that I saw this post and I am ranked on page 2. I think if I make some links I can get back up to the top page and bring my sales back.

    Thanks for the post

Oh and... I think you should just build more links and be patient. The thing about SEO is that if you have a small or no budget than you will be worrying about every single key phrase... You have to target more than just one key word phrase (which I'm sure you are) and just constantly work at it. It can take years for you you settle your site in a comfortable position bringing in constant traffic. Also, if you stop working on a site... the traffic will decrease... this is my experience. The traffic always decreases...

    Thank You,

Thanks George, I am working almost 20 hours per day now, just to make sure the site makes at less 280 next month since this month is already gone.

I have written 35 articles in just 1 week ( my best ever) 18 are accepted 4 waiting approval, foot dragging on the rest.

So far I have made 5 sales ( the 5th sale came in just as I was typing this message) which is by far my best with any site.

It means I am doing something good but I really need to get my site up there again. I was getting lots of visits from keywords relating to the product before but that is no longer the case mainly because I am no where to be found now.

    Any suggestions?

      Hi yommys01,

You don't get "sandboxed", the so called "Sandbox Effect" is related to new content not being trusted because it hasn't yet stood the test of time. It takes months to earn trust, not days. Trust is earned gradually over time so each month it increases a little bit.

If you think you may have ran afoul of Google's guidelines you can get your site verified at Google's Webmaster Tools and they will list any issues they have encountered under the diagnostics section.

from my experience, just keep pointing backlinks from different sources, and don't social bookmark spam, you should get ur rankings back soon since they are product reviews, which shoudnt have too much competitions
