Homepage SEO, Static Page vs Latest Posts?

Hello Warriors,

I have a question about the SEO of the homepage.

Do you prefer a homepage with latests posts? Or a static page with text??

I have a Indian movie/songs website, where i am blogging about.
I really want to rank on keywords like : Indian movies online, hindi movies.

What do you guys think, it's more effective and better for SEO for rankings?

    But some sites are using text and keywords in their heading tags to improve rankings, whats the correlation ??

      On the other hand, if you do SEO and your home page changes often, you're going to have a harder time ranking.

      So, before you decide, think about where your traffic is coming from. If it's not from Google, the latest post is great... if the latest post is great.

    Web pages that constantly change will usually bounce around the SERPs.

    You could always rank internal pages instead of the Home page If you want the Home page to show the latest content.

    You must use static page when you are writing important pages for your blog like privacy policy, disclaimer, terms and conditions, contact us page on which you don't want your readers to put comments or you to assign them to particular category or tags as you do while writing your blog posts. Mostly these pages stay either in navigation bar, headers and footer of your blog unless and until you don't want to display them as your latest posts which is your homepage then in this case you might consider posts over pages.

    If you create a number of blogs using static it is too good, while you can achieve ranking on given key words using various technique and activities..

    While it has a huge scope for these sites are on first page of google.
