Effective Keyword Research Tool?

First, I hope this is the right place to post this, if not I apologize ahead of time. I have seen mixed posts on market samurai. Some people say they still use it while others say it's no good or out dated, etc. I have a couple questions about it... Is it still a relevant and effective tool for keyword/seo research? Do the built in proxies actually work? (meaning not blocked by Google) I'm not thrilled with the idea of using a program that requires proxies but I'm really in need of a tool that will help me save time and I would like to test the waters at first with something that isn't going to have a recurring monthly charge. If market samurai should be avoided in your opinion, what are some decent pieces of downloadable software that you would suggest instead?

Read an article on Moz the other day pretty much giving you a step by step guide to good, time efficient keyword research. Definitely something you should read if you are asking these kinds of questions.

  • The best keyword research tool would be Google Adwords and keywordtool.io. You can search enormous keywords related to your website and can start making links on them to get it ranked in Google easily and quickly as well.

Hey man, Google Adwords IS the best keyword planner. I mean, it's straight from the company and it's pretty detailed as well.

If you want to use a third party software, Moz is reliable. If you're doing SEO for Bing, it has its own keyword tool as well.

There are many keyword research tools available for keyword research. But the google keyword planner is best to analyze the traffic for a specific keyword.

Until a few years ago, doing your keyword research was much easier. You could simply check Google Analytics to see on which terms people found your website. That is no longer possible. So you’re pretty much left in the dark about the terms people use in search engines to end up at your website. Luckily, there are some other tools which can make your keyword research a bit easier:

Use the Google Adwords Keyword Planner to find new and related keywords, but ignore the search volume data! The search volume data in the planner is really only useful for keywords that you’re actually spending money to advertise on. Otherwise, these volumes are not reliable. While not really helpful to decide which keyword is most used by your potential audience, Google Adwords Keyword Planner makes a useful tool in coming up with ideas for potential keywords!
