On page SEO question(s)

1. If you have two different pages with a button to the same download, do you need to put a nofollow: in one of them? I don't think it has anything to do with canatolization, but maybe I am wrong.

2. Can a H1 be the same a Page title?

3. Do you need to put your keyword in the H1 for the best SEO? We work with a CMS. We made the H1 on some of the pages a 'catchy' headline, not so much the keyword.

    1) No, you don't need to make one of them nofollow.
    2) H1 and Page Title are different things. Your page title would use html code like this: <title>Your Title</title> in the code..H1/H2/H3..etc. are heading tags (<h1>Your Heading</h1>). This would go into your page text itself.
    3) You should make one of your target keyphrases the heading. Or, at least have the keyphrase in there somewhere.

      Would that negatively effect SEO?

    About 2nd question, yes you can have same. But you should prefer different H1 for better SEO.

        Part of SEO. Title belongs to Meta tags visible to Search Engine, H1 belongs to post/article visible to visitors/readers.

    1- I never go nofollow unless I dont trust the source, or I dont want to give juice to who I link to. Let google follow and see what google thinks. If it hurt your rank, put the tag back in.

    2- Yes...but you can do better

    3- Best SEO = best resource for the user. I throw cheesy keyword headers when a site is brand new(like, before people utilize your site)...but the catchy headline is much stronger in the long run.
