VPS hostgator

Any warrior has experienced Hostgator VPS?

I am with their reseller plan and ready to proceed VPS, although their VPS may not be the best amongst other VPS companies, as reviewed by many other warriors in other threads. I think that it might be easier to transfer my existing 10+ sites to hostgator VPS instead of using an entirely new company, if and only if it's acceptable, hence see if you have any prior experience with it....

Appreciation in advance.

    Hostgator is a shared-only host, and anything else they offer is a "me too" offering. In other words, they have almost no skill at maintaining a VPS or dedicated. Worse yet, their VPS technology is from the 2000s, and the 2010s are already half over. It's ancient crap.

    Worse yet (yes, again!), it's really expensive. You don't get quality for what you pay.

    Better VPS hosts include LiquidWeb, MediaTemple, WiredTree, and Knownhost. Use of of those.

    4+ years of experience with Knownhost VPS and I'm fully satisfied. not just with their unbeatable service but their instant response for any submitted tickets.
    I tried too many hosts in the past like Myhosting, Futurehost, Mochahost but they are too far if we compare with Knownhost.

    desperate hostgator support ticket is one week old today, 3 follow up requests and still no action or response. i've been with them for a year and this is the first time i need help. still hoping that hostgator will respond today, but so far nothing. very disappointed. i paid them more because i thought they were better, but very disappointed.

      HostGator has become awful at support. I still have a ticket that has gone with no response since late April.

        This decline in HostGator support response time has been going on for quite some time now. Too many customers coming in and not enough staff to support them maybe...Sadly, I don't see it changing for the better since things haven't improved for such a long time.

        I absolutely agree. It is very bad now. It used to be good. On top of that, they use deceiving practice towards affiliates. They recently expired my commission instead of paying me. It does not matter what their policy is. If an affiliate gave them business, they have to pay every penny. So far, I sent two companies to them. Most likely, they will pay me zero. Needless to say, I have no plans of sending more companies to Hostgator.

        What is your experience of getting paid affiliate commision by Hostgator?

    I heard they are alright, but I used to use another of their parent company "Endurance International Group"'s servers, and they were down far too often. I won't give another of their products a chance, even though it is differently named, I would assume it is just as unsatisfactory.

    Sadly the host I moved to in the hope of being free of them has been acquired recently.

    They love putting out publications that compare their own servers and rating one above the other, leaving you buying from their company at the end of the day if you follow any of their many many articles.

    If you are interested in getting a quality VPS deal, use it from hostsailor.com or a2hosting.com.
