Hi everyone!

Just a quick question, ive been doing a tidy up on one of my sites and a bit of jiggling about for new pages and meta tags.

Question is, does adding your domain to the start of the title tag hinder the later keywords.. example below..

Domain.com | some keyword phrase, Keyword

any help be appreaciated

No, it has no negative effect. Just make sure the entire title is not too long.

    Thanks for the reply

adding my domain name to the title would take the title character count to 82 that includes spaces etc

It doesn't matter as long as its not redundant to the view of your targeted audience.

I think Using keyword in your title tag is best option but not domain.

Yes, that is correct, add keywords in the description and use meta tag analyzer to check if your meta tags and meta description meets the requirement for SEO.

Instead of domain name, use your primary keyword in the Title tags. For eg. Service page keyword | Primary keyword, About us | Primary Keyword, Contact us | Primary keyword etc. This increases the chances for both the keywords.

Meta title should be of 65-70 characters. You can use target keyword in your title.

If i were you, i would not put the domain name into the title. Unless your domain is famous, and people are searching for it in Google it has no sense. Even though, I think they would still find your site without having the domain inserted there in the Title.

Better use your primary keyword there as many people have suggested.
