Alexa has nothing to do with SEO. It's also not helpful for webmasters, unless they're trying to use padded statistics to give a rosy view about their site.

The reason behind this is the methodology that Alexa uses. They rely on a browser plugin, and interpolate the data with their algorithm. Their results are at best an educated guess in the right ballpark, and in most cases not even close to the reality. Nobody uses that plugin in these parts of the world for example.

You should use a SERP tracker and an visitor analytics tool instead.

Alexa is a good tool to measure you site traffic.

I have been using Alexa to check the performance of various site especially those of competitors, and see where they out-match me. It shows certain basic features as traffic, top keyword search and traffic source.

Data Provided by Alexa is rough and not precise. Hence there is no relationship between SEO and Alea ranking.

True! ... but even if Alexa was precise, it still has no relationship to SEO. A site can have a lot of traffic (for example by offline word-of-mouth) and not even be Indexed.

Not quite - internet traffic on sites that have installed Alexa's tool bar is what they base their info on... When all sites will have the Alexa tool bar installed, their information will be awesome. In the meantime, it's far from it.

Alexa is founded in 1996 and is a california based company of Amazon.com that specializes in providing commercial web traffic data gathered via toolbar and web browser extension. The rank is calculated using a combination of average daily unique visitors to the site and the number of page views on the site over the past 3months. Alexa ranking is very important in seo because through alexa only we get high traffic in our site and get top rank in google search result.

Alexa has nothing to do with SEO results you get for your business. However, less alexa ranking is assumed to have a good website traffic. Alexa, anyways does not affect your search engine results and SEO. One should keep focus on website rankings, sales and conversions.

You can consider alexa if you want to know an idea about your website traffic.

I suppose that offering seo services from and in India is the root of your problems.

A basic question like that proves you know nothing.

No one cares about Alexa Rank. Even Google's page rank doesn't depend upon this factor. Better to study/find out new techniques in seo 2015

My 3 years blogging experience says that, only quality traffic can increase your Alexa Ranking. I turn my site into 5 lacs alexa rank from 1 core by Contents and marketing it properly.

My 15 years of web building experience says that only Alexa toolbar can increase your Alexa ranking. Wether or not your users have that installed had absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the traffic.

As for now Alexa Ranking is not at all an important factor and it got no impact on SEO.
