There's always un-predicted algorithm updates. Everyday, sometimes a couple per day.

It's going to do the same thing every update does.

Help Google sort their results better, display more of their own advertisements, and get rid of people who are blatantly spamming and make no attempts to cover their tracks.

If we're lucky they might even take up some more of the spammers favorite past times, like scraping and putting it onto their own site -- so you never have to leave.

    Who knows.

I guess this time google is getting very tricky with the content display over sites. Majorly Resource Content and content Automation.

Few of sites i have seen and was following for content resource and found them a drop in rankings . Few my old sites which were like content resource blogs have been through a downfall in organic visits to 25~30% in past 2 weeks.

By content resource, do you mean "put up as many keyword focused pages as possible" ?

Those sink like stone life jackets in every update.

If not, what do you mean by "content resource" ?

The final nail on SERp Will be paid Advertising.

Because SEO will always find a way to get around, gradually the first page will be reserved for paid advertising.

Lol, If that was ever going to happen why would Google wait 18 years? Looks like a few billion wasted dollars.

If there's an update today it's so minimal only a few folks are crying in their Cheerios.

I don't think so. Many, too many people, would stop visiting Google altogether.

You clearly do not understand Google's business model. The organic results is why they have so many users. The users are why they have advertisers. Get rid of the organic results and the advertisers will start to dry up.

What's funny, is that google supplies free things to its users (here, searchers) millions
of times a day. Directions, time, sunset, conversions, definitions,.....without ads...

They have one of the best business models in history. Ever.

If webmasters would actually concentrate on their own business model, well, the
        WF would be dull.

If you'd stop to think about this prediction for a moment it just might start sounding as ludicrous to you as it sounds to the rest of us.

With the current business model Google has to provide search results in order to have a marketing platform. They can't take the lure away, and expect people to still swallow the hook. Google might come up with something else at some point, but this one can't be transformed to "ads only" because of the way they've been branding and marketing it.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

      What's your excuse?

Google will be in love, because they have a large database. Google makes is easy, but to pay the cost of the data center is expensive.

You have to be unique and sought after by many people.
You have to build quality content and domains known many people
