Hello guys,

I had to change the .tld of a site, so I bought a new domain with the same name, just another .tld. My interest is not keep any relation with the old domain with this new domain. So I did this:

1) I did a backup of the files and the database, and stored all in the new hosting and in the new domain.

2) After that, I changed the "wp_options" in phpmyadmin including the new domain, I did the same to the configuration of the wp-admin, and I replaced manually all the links and the images files that contained the old .tld.

3) After that, I looked for the the old url with the inspection code tool of chrome for all pages, no sign of the old domain in the code.

Just to check: to not have any more relations with the old domain, I missed something?

Did you have to setup a new hosting account? If so, did you cPanel username get changed? If it did, you may want to check and make sure you have the correct new database name and username within your settings file (such as wp-config.php)

Yeah, the site in the new .tld (before .net.br, now .club) is working fine with another hosting. As I said my concern is about some links of the old .tld continues with this new .tld, but I used the inspection code tool of chrome and I replaced all images and links of the old .tld. What I mean is that you wont find any mention of the old url in the code of this new domain.

But, when I check "wp_posts" from phpmyadmin, still have something of the old url, as you can see in the picture:

The data with the old .tld in "wp_posts" is related to the wordpress theme of the site, attachments and posts. When I erase a post market with the old .tld, automacally erase a post of actual installation of the site.

I think its not necessary rebuild the site from 0 in the new .tld to vanish the old information.

I will just replace the old links marked in "wp_post" from the new. My only concern is not harm SEO.
