Hey all,
I've found a great expiring domain on Namejet. It's 18 year old and relevant to my niche. Has good PR, good backlinks, everything is perfect but when i do google search for this domain..

site:domain.com

I get only 1 result and which is of the namejet itself and not of the original domain.

Is this domain de-indexed by Google ??? If it is, then would it be worth buying it If I'm building a pbn ?

PS: Is there anything else to look at ?

Ignore the title of the listing. If that is the URL of the domain you are looking to buy, then yes it is indexed. It is showing Namejet because the domain is parked there.

I would investigate if the links to the site actually exist before making the purchase. It does not matter what Ahrefs, Majestic, Opensite Explorer, or any of the other backlink checkers tell you. You need to actually see that the backlinks are there today. Those tools do a great job of finding links, but are not so great at going back and updating those links down the road.

Thanks for making this clear! I've already checked the backlinks manually by going to the referring page and searching the anchor text. They are existing and yes that is the URL of the domain I'm looking to buy. So I guess I'm all good.

      Thanks again

I guess you already know that 3rd party link checkers usually lag on backlink data updates. Make sure the links are live today, not last month or whenever the link checkers last found the link/s. A lot can happen in a month, etc...

Yes. I check the links manually by going to each page that was giving the link and they are live today! but the problem with this domain are:

1.) Lots of other people said it looks like a de-indexed domain

2.) I saw a massive increase in rankings within the last 4 months.

In feb 2015 it had 238 pages and then a massive rise.. by the end july 2015 it had almost 600 referring pages..

3.) It's getting backlinks from the same source.. If I look at the referring domains in total, they are only about 50 and if I look at the backlinks in total, they are 740. Which means it's getting tons and tons of backlinks from the same domain and so gets 740 links from 50 domains combined so this Total No. of Backlinks vs Referring Domains ratio does not look natural.

I guess I have to move on and search for a better domain name..

I hide the actual domain. It was money4u.net and I let it go. Such a useless domain. Do a site:money4u.net and you will see the 1 result
