Yes, redesigning will definitely affect your ranking. Changing your url structure will definitely have impact on your rankings. While redesign, if website url change, you have to inform the search engine where older url have moved. If you don’t , then it will drop your traffic, ranking and sales.
If the old url's won't be accessible any longer you can use redirection. It is possible to redirect more of your old url's to one new url.

Redesigning your website doesn't have a big impact on the rankings. But, changing the url structure will definitely affect the rankings. As you've said that the home page URL remains the same, there would be any ranking changes if you target this URL. But, if your inner page links are also being promoted, then ranking changes will prevail.

Should I change? or stay the same for link reasons? Change is a part of life go forward there is no lost only new and only gain. This has happened to me many times I always go with forward and change its the same reason why you would renovate property especially for expansion.Next, invest in a few fiverr link submission gigs and add some video submissions to high PR and you should be good to go. If you are more of the DIY type get and use the tool Backlinkbeast.

It could change your rankings, for the better or worse.
How web pages are coded can make a huge difference, as text gets sloshed around.
Most people think that does not matter. The googlebot is just that. A bot, not a human.

I would leave the old urls alone. Just do not link to them internally anymore.

Never get rid of anything that is indexed if you can help it.

If you only have a few, you can 301 them to the new ones, but only
if the pages are exactly or similar. However....

Nobody can force you to change the urls. You can keep current ones
as is. If someone says they can't, get someone else.

Redesign the website will not effect the SERP result only when the URL will be remain same. If any case the URL will change then it will effect the SERP page.
