I have an old site www.bestsomething.org..
Recently I started another site with a similar niche.
Can I link from the old site to the new site.. without fear of a penalty?
Thanks

I recommend that you use the rel=nofollow tag if you are going to interlink your websites.

I am totally agree with the commenter above me. This is the perfect way to interlink your websites network and restrict search engine to follow others.

      Cheers.

That is just stupid. Nofollow is for sites you do not trust or advertising links that were bought. You are going to tell Google that you do not trust your own sites?

That will be fine. You are not trying to hide anything.

If you are 110% sure the old website is not blacklisted, you can of course link to your new one... And also, if you don't use it at all (the old one!) you can do a 301 redirection too!
