You list junk links like tumblr, pinterest, reddit, etc.

What did you expect with links like that?

Certainly not "results."

royalhookahforum? Junk links as well.

The majority of your links are not worth the pixels they are printed with.

Honestly, you have to start over. You won't need a new website but you will have to erase your current link building campaign and start that from scratch. If possible, the best solution is to manually remove all of the links you've built. All of them. If you can't remove them yourself then request the webmaster to remove them for you. If that doesn't work you'll need to create a disavow file. Do not skip the first two steps before creating the disavow.

Once you've completely addressed all of the links you built, move forward with a strategy that does not include manual link building. Finally, be careful following advice you receive on forums because a lot of people will tell you that forum and tumblr back links are amazing, when clearly they're not.

Okay. If you guys say this link-building is shit than what would be the link building strategy?
I'm going to write 5 articles with great content and submit it to Web 2.0 properties and related top article submission sites. What else is left? I've done RELATED forums which appeared on the first page of google. I've done few social bookmarks, i've done blog comments, Q/A sites. I'm doing Web 2.0 properties now. What other strategy could be top quality link building?

This is the problem!!! right here!! you dont understand what backlink is, you are just spreading your content on web 2.0 properties with no real linkjuice, what you need is to get real backlinks from relevant sites.

Here the suggestions:

- Create a PBN.

- Create Content that other people in your niche want to post in their sites

Okay. Well do you think apart from backlinks, if there's some other issue that's stopping the rankings? Like there's no article that I posted on blogspot but just a link to my site which got indexed? Or too many links from few sites stopping the rankings?

It may be other issues, such as wrong structure, duplicated content, no sitemaps etc.. but as Yukon said, we cant know without the URL, I understand your concerns for your site, but there is just so much we can do it with what you gave us.

Backlinks man, all the backlinks your site have are really crappy.

There may be more issues, (like hacing more affiliate links than content pages), but I think the backlinks is the biggest one in the ranking problem.

- Social bookmarks and blog comments are, without doubt, useless for SEO. Those social bookmarking sites will put nofollow tag to your links plus they don't have content so G have no reason to prioritize them.
- Web 2.0 sites could work or couldn't. Some web 2.0 sites will also apply nofollow tag to your link.
- Article submission is dead since 2013.

Why don't you contact some hookah lounges that have websites and convince the owners to link to you?

You might want to create some satellite sites on the subject and link back to your main site...

You need links from sites that don't put a stop on the power flow.

Open one of the pages where you're getting your best links from in firefox, select your link, right click on it and select 'view selection code.' It will open the code for your link. If you see 'rel=nofollow' the link is useless, from an SEO point of view.

On-site SEO: My main keyword is in the Exact match domain. It goes in pictures, meta description, content, sub headings, title etc.

Looks like your case study was about junk links and keyword stuffing.

Shoutmeloud.com, Lazyasssstoner.com,backlinko.com,werbis.org and bloggingconsult.org etc I can literally post 50 more top ranking sites with high DA saying you get links from High DA sites with Article submission, blog commenting, social bookmarking, Q/A sites, Image Sharing sites and so on. My 'junk links' are from tumblr; Web 2.0 (High DA), Pinterest; Image Sharing (High DA), Reddit; Bookmark (High DA), related top forums on Google Search, Related Blog Comments, Yahoo/Quora; Q/A sites (High DA), Inboud.org + Vizualize; Bookmarks (under 50 DA). What do you even make you think they are 'junk'?
I've not done other Web 2.0 blogs from Wordpress, livejournal and Squido which I'll be doing in the next few days. What part have I even left in making Quality links?

If you failed to look at the bottom of my post, I wrote 'So, after all this day/night hard work, I still am freaking stuck. Help me whoever understands the issue. Thanks.' I feel as if there's this some small issue which is holding my rankings and I can't figure out. If you can help me out, Cool. Any link from a blog comment, article directory, forum signature, forum profile, social bookmarking, etc is going to be useless or potentially harmful. It doesn't matter what the DA of the site is, or anything else. Any link gained from those methods will not be beneficial and is not the direction you want to go in.

Sounds like most posters on WarriorForum sound really grumpy huh?

Ok, I can't speak for the above posters, but I believe they're saying you're getting it from the above mentioned sites in the 'wrong' way. Let me try to help you.

Let's take an e.g. hookahpro.com. it may be a good and relevant site when compared to yours.

However, at least from what I could see, your links from there are home page profile links e.t.c. While these would make your website's back link profile appear more natural if you do it from a wide variety of relevant sites, it would not give you the 'boost' you're looking for.

Let's take another (purely hypothetical) example. Emphasis on 'PURELY' illustrative purposes (because some WF ppl are really grumpy easily

)

Website A got a contextual dofollow link from one of Yahoo.com's latest featured articles.

Website B got a link from one of Yahoo.com's latest featured articles by commenting on it and then simply pasting a URL into the comment box area.

Both are links from Yahoo, but the one linking to website A is significantly more powerful. It is both where you get your links from, and how it is built that affects your SEO.

However, what if for example, Website A gets a backlink from High DA site like Squido but never write an article instead puts the link somewhere is this harmful? 2ndly, if website A with niche 'food' gets a strong contextual/blog comment/forum posting backlink from niche 'fashion' is this harmful too?

For the first example, do you mean e.g. profile links or? Just create a Squidoo account and randomly paste website A's link somewhere within Squidoo?

For example 2, it shouldn't harm website A's ranking, assuming the 'fashion' website does not have shady SEO practices, but it will have less of an impact. To illustrate, all else remaining constant, getting a link for website A (food niche) from website 1 (fashion niche) would not be as effective as getting one from website 2 (food niche).

Than why do they say its very important to get a link from 'relevant niche' or if it's a High DA from some irrelevant niche, it'd be a suicide?

For the next three months, at least. I think you should focus on creating a strategy that does not include any manual link building what soever. If you can craft a plan that will allow you to obtain links without any mention of squidoo, comments, profiles, etc then you'll be on the right track. Forget about domain authority and all of these other buzz phrases.

I was just about to post the same comment that Yukon has above. If the sites are well-known blogs or forums the links are very likely going to be nofollow. If that's the case you can forget about that link ranking your site, because it just won't.

Tumblr, Reddit, and Pinterest at least fall to that same category. As they should: untrusted user-posted links should be always marked with nofollow.

The reason why people are asking for site owners to link to them, and trying to build "web 2.0" sites is because those links are usually "followed". However, a new blog doesn't have any link juice to pass to your site.

So as everyone else has said, the links are crap, the site too....pretty horrible from a design perspective.

If it was me -

Get the site redesigned and make it look more hippy. Logo and branding go a long way too, especially when reaching out to others.

Produce quality content, indepth reviews, video reviews, interview manufacturers, review new gadgets for smoking, do comparisons between popular brands etc.

Your post titles are bland and don't compel me to click on them, also no images on the homepage to help compel the user to click

When looking at the blog posts they are

- poorly formatted.
- using generic stock images.
- look quite 'thin' in content.

theres much you need to learn, but you need to get a plan together to turn this site around because as it is, it won't be going anywhere

I'm going to bookmark this thread and seek help whenever I create a new site. Because I've learned A LOT in it. I'll be honest with you guys.

Consider I had some extra cash and I wanted to experiment this whole 'website thing'. As all of you guys pointed, I know this site looks like a crap looking at the design and content. But the whole idea was to know if I could rank it and imply all the strategies 'gurus' were talkin' about.

The problem I Identified was the freaking Blogspot link and trust me guys once I disavowed it, rankings started to grow back. Than, according to you guys, I checked 70% of my links are 'no-follow'. Which mean't only 30% brought me here. I created the do-follow links on linked-in ( The trick is to write content on your linked-in posts and link back to your site) got me one high quality back link alongside storify.com (an other killer back link I must say) and an article on wordpress.com with link back to my site. And guess what, It's all I needed. I don't care if the site works now or not, I learned a lot. Now I could make 5 more High Quality designed sites and putting in useful content. Than I would rank them all, learning from this experiment.

Yet, THANK YOU ALL. You guys are much better than those 'gurus'.
