Hello Folks,
Just wanted to know whether it is possible to rank social media profiles for your name as a keyword on top of search engines.

Has Anyone tried it ?

      That is ridiculous.

Yes, of course it works. It is no different than ranking any other page.

I did some testing a couple of years ago on LinkedIn and I can say that it does work to a degree.

It all depends on your focus and the keywords you'll want to be found for.

Main keywords in the title of your profile and then semantically similar meanings with the text of any posts you send to your needs feed or updates section.

Like all SEO it's not a one hit quick fix, it'll take time, effort and patience.

    Good luck with it

I think yes. If you run a search for your own name you often come across your fb or twitter or pinterest profiles. In fact pinterest also has a verification method by way of which it can become your verified account connected to your website... Filling up the profile and about sections also helps since that makes it more searchable. If it is a company social media account, use keyword rich content!
