How would I add keywords to an existing site that I know I could rank on the first page with???

Fellow warriors

If I wanted to seo an existing site for keywords I know I could dominate, how go about optimizing the website with these keywords? If there is a tutorial out there that will show me how to do this I would really appreciate a point in the right direction.Thanks

I recommend that you start with the basics, this guide from Google is an excellent place to start.

  Create a new page within the site optimized for this new keyword. Place the keyword in the page title, url, H1/H2 tags and naturally in the content. Then begin backlinking with the keyword as your anchor text.
