Actual Keywords not Getting Ranked

I have written a blog post with title "Mobile Website Tutorial" here is its URL: Mobile Website Tutorial - Tech News


I have created few back links as well. But after sometime when I checked "Search Queries" in Google Webmaster Tool, there are these two queries "how to design a mobile website tutorial" and "how to create mobile website tutorial".


Now I am not sure why Google is ranking with these two keywords instead of my original keywords?


What I should do to rank with my original keywords ?

    Use only long tail keywords they help to increase website ranking easily.

    Because your page is about basics of mobile websites, it uses the words 'how to design' and 'mobile website' and 'tutorial'.

    If you're not a human being, counting how many times the words how
    mobile
    website
    tutorial
    show up on the page and how many times they show up close together, you'd end up thinking that the page is, in part, about how to create a mobile website tutorial.

    Then, you combine that with the fact that both keywords have no competition and, voila, you're ranking for those keywords.

    Basically, you have not told Google that your page is about creating mobile sites.

    Is this a Big Deal ? There is no problem, Its Good. Long Tail Keyword is Good for SEO & Traffic.

    You'll always rank longtail keywords without even trying, whether they get any traffic is another story.

    You're onpage SEO is optimized for the highlighted text below (screenshot below) combined with the <h1> text & page title (Mobile Website Tutorial).

    Have you searched with the keyword? There's Lynda, Adobe, HTML5Rocks, W3Schools, Treehouse, Udemy, tutsplus, several high-profile blogs... All of them have some sort of generic piece on this topic. Google's algorithm is "smart" enough to realize that you're talking about the same thing even if they don't explicitly mention "tutorial".

    Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

      I am not expert with SEO, just trying to learn and experimenting with it. I have used Google keyword planner to find this keyword and it has low competition with less search volume. So what I thought is it will be ranked easily.

      Does high-profile blogs factor important while selecting keywords ? As I have seen there is no website actually using this keyword but similar words.

    Long tail keyword always rank well even you not try it. It is good for us. Only doing proper on page seo will get you this. There is no need to do more off page seo.

    I think there is no need to change your content. Research first before writing content.

    keywords ranking will depends on your site content. if your site content is not suitable according to keywords which you want to see on search engines.
